The road to the reconstruction site of the Sankebetsu Brown Bear Incident was closed,
so I stopped off here instead.
Inside the museum, there were displays of stuffed bears and things like life at the time,
but I would have liked to see more displays about the brown bear incident, such as a guide to the reconstruction site.

ネットでの情報収集は場合まででやめておき、入館しました。
文化の発展や戦時の展示、ネアンデールタール人からの進化などがツラツラと掲示や説明が有り、農耕の用具…そしてヒグマや三毛別の襲われた家屋の現示、マタギの狩風景に狩られたヒグマやテンなども有りました。
件の三毛別ミニチュアは…クマを恐ろしくすべきかとw
市民ではないため、３１０円を支払い３０分ほど見学して出ました。
１０月いっぱいで年内の期間入館が終了する様なので、年明け次の営業よりは見たいと思った最後の前の週に伺いました。

入口を入ると大きなヒグマの剥製が出迎えてくれる資料館です。かつてこの地区ではヒグマに襲われるケースが多発していた事に由来しています。苫前町は自然豊かな町で苫前町の自然を模型や写真で見ることができます。

大きな熊のはく製があります。三毛別の事件内容を思い出しながら見学されるとよいとおもいます。時間によっては羆事件の映画も上映しています。屋外にも見るものもありますので、小さな地方の博物館が好きな人や羆事件に興味がある人は行ってみてはいかがでしょうか。

三毛別羆事件復元現地へ行く前に寄りました。開拓期から最近までの生活用品などが展示されており、その一角に羆事件関係の展示があります。どの資料も良いものなのですが説明や展示手法があまり良くないので、解説が出来る人を連れていくとより楽しめます。敷地裏手には縄文家屋（復元予想）もあります。 ※羆事件復元現地はここから約２５Km（４５分）、キツネやら羆が出たりしますので気をつけて！

入館料300円。こういう展示物って、やっぱり見る人の立場にとってちゃんとプロデュースしないといけないですね。いいものあるのに。特に熊に関する展示（事件も含めて）、アイヌ文化に関する展示などはもっと人の心を惹きつけることができる。見せ方が旧来式。これではもったいない。

大正4年に起きた獣害史上最大の事件の詳細な展示と、町の歴史的な貴重な資料が展示されてます。
建物は旧役場庁舎で風格があり、いかにも博物館！貫禄があります。
受付の年配の女性は三毛別の獣害被害者を御先祖にもつ方で、貴重なお話を聞かせていただきました。
現場に行く方は是非この博物館に寄って行くべきだと思います。

古代の里へ入館しました。町民以外の大人は３００円！リピーターは無いと思いますが、結構な展示物の量＆質（？）！「三毛別のヒグマ事件」の現地を聞くも、地図をもらえたが、住所等は正確にはわからないとか。近くの駐在さんに聞きました。

開拓当時の三毛別事件現場を見たくて先にこちらに立寄って暮らしぶりなど知識を吸収。資料館自体の見学時間は知れてますが、三毛別事件の現場だけを見るより資料館とセットでの訪問をオススメします。

昔10人近くの犠牲者を出した熊襲撃事件、映画にもなっています。
その様子を再現していたり、大きなヒグマや山の動物の剥製がたくさんあります。
他にもウミガメやトド、クジャクなんかもあって
子供達は楽しんでいました。
