Lovely serene pottery village where you can find some master work. Sadly when we were there not all show rooms were open but the ones that are open we saw some very nice pieces of art

Especially the glass master's studio was amazing, you can see four or five men making the glass piece live. We bought some unique handmade glasses back home. They wrap it so well for you, and you don't see that beautiful glassware that often. Don't go...More

I love Yomitan Pottery village. But then, I love bowls so it may not be to everyone's taste. There are many potters and many shops here and at least two rising wood-fired kilns (which I would love to see in action). A first visit might...More

I like ceramics, and there are some beautiful examples on sale here, but the market is a bit overwhelming and prices are not much different than in town. Not the easiest place to reach.

There are few shops in which you can find different okinawa style potteries, also sometimes watch the master working on the art craft. We also watched the glass makers, amazing how they prepare with such precision and passion all details. The pieces for sale are...More

We've taken every one of our guests and all new friends to the Yomitan pottery village and always enjoyed each trip. If you cannot find unique, vibrant pieces then you ought to brush up on your shopping skills. Also, remember that each area has special...More

Interesting to see the potters and glass workers at work. Good for an hour or so, but probably not the place for young children.

A lot of the pottery looked the same from shop to shop as noted by other reviewers. However, there were a handful with unique work that I ended up buying for gifts (all closer to the parking except one that is hidden off the road)....More
