We decided to check Cape Maeda out, as we'd heard there are nice beaches. You have to pay for parking, 100 yen (about AU$1.25 at time of writing) per hour, minimum 1 hour. Pretty cheap, if, like us, you spend 15 minutes there, but a little pricey if you wanted to spend all day there. Signage to the beach is... More

I went to Cape Maeda armed with the knowledge I needed to rent snorkel gear. When I arrived I spoke to a person who worked at the Mermaid truck that does snorkel tours. Unfortunately they couldn't fit anymore people into their tour for the day. When I went down to the Cape I found it almost ridiculous that people get... More

Great location for snorkeling, free diving and scuba diving. It can get very crowded at times but still very fun if you don't mind getting up close and personal with people every now and again. Beautiful sea life but there are also hazardous fish there so be very careful and be prepared for typical sea conditions.

This was absolutely beautiful both snorkeling and scuba diving. We went snorkeling in May and the fish surrounding us were breathtaking. I also went scuba diving here during my class to become a certified diver, and it was like I became one of the fish with so much beautiful coral surrounding us! Loved it!!!!

One of the best place for snorkeling, very much fun plus swimming thru the cave is very good. No need to book just go there and enjoy

Stunning views and breathtaking landscape! The rocks jutting out of the ocean and the platform from which to view this part of the ocean is spectacular! Unforgettable moment and humbling to see such beauty. We didn't snorkel, but would have loved to. It was too windy on the day we went. We enjoyed the views and took in the moment!... More

It was a nice snorkeling spot. When we were there it wasnt crowded. We had an apartment right there so we went a couple of times. The beaches nearby were stunning and never full.

A lovely place to snorkel, dive, or check out observation points for beautiful photo ops. This is a great place to start off those who are new to snorkeling or scuba , though experienced folks will enjoy their time spent here as well. Plenty of inexpensive parking, lockers, shower facilities, and restrooms. There are several access points nearby that avoid... More
