A lovely place to snorkel, dive, or check out observation points for beautiful photo ops. This is a great place to start off those who are new to snorkeling or scuba , though experienced folks will enjoy their time spent here as well. Plenty of inexpensive parking, lockers, shower facilities, and restrooms. There are several access points nearby that avoid... More

Easy access with plenty of parking space, reasonable shower facility (with coins) & changing room, just next to the staircase to the sea. So many variety of coral fish and hundreds or sea urchins at the shore.

We were surprised how fun it was to snorkel with kids at Cape Maeda. You can go and swim without any snorkel gear which is what we did on one of the days. There are a lot of coral around so you must be careful. The better suggestion is to rent snorkel gear. We rented from one of the stands... More

Lots to do here. There's a great view of the cape from the top, you can walk down and hike around the cape, climb around on the rocks, go down to the water and explore the tide pools on the one side and then walk down the stairs on the other side to see where all the scuba divers go.... More

Florida resident. My husband and I visiting our daughter who is USAF she took us to Maeda. The most beautiful place I've ever snorkeled in my life. Hope to go back again before we leave.

I was travelling with my husband and two kids. My son was scared of the sea water and therefore we didn't snorkel. I was enjoying the view there. The view was spectacular and even if you don't swim it's worth a visit here

Most of the time, for snorkeling, we are only equipped with goggles, life-saving jackets and flippers. But we were fully equipped with diving suits. The sky was blue, the sea was even bluer. The water was clear so that we were able to see many different species of fishes. Schools of fishes impressed us. The guide led us to the... More

A short drive from the Renaissance Okinawa Resort, this look-out point is worth a visit. Car parking is available at 100 yen/hr. Various food facilities/local restaurant available but tends to close early.
