I am in awe of the displays of this whole museum . Though it is the more underrated museum throughout the whole expo park but it’s def worth the visit. My family with young children love it too , all thanks to the movie “Moana”...More

Yep a small fee to enter 900 yen, considering the effort that has gone into putting this together. I am work in the Maritime industry, grew in the Pacific. This displayed a history of things I had not thought for years. The simplicity of transgressing...More

My daughter and I were looking for something to do out of the rain and this museum really piqued our interest and we poked around for about two hours. There were perhaps a half dozen other folks there so a nice break from the busy...More

This museum is not the main attraction at the Ocean Expo Park. That honor belongs to the Aquarium. However, we found ourselves with some time to spare at the end of the day and spent about 2 hours roaming around in here. If you have...More

I liked seeing all of the boats in the museum but I would have liked to see more English subtitles in their videos. It was great for learning how the Okinawans fished.

The ambience inside the museum is amazing, not to mention the replete information about oceanic culture in different parts of the world. Don't forget to visit the planetarium as well. There's a Doraemon show there every weekend and during winter holidays.

Saw some AMAZING boats (real life size) and learned a lot about oceanic cultures. It doesn't focus on Okinawa specifically but the admission was very cheap and the boats were super dope. Nice break from the heat of walking around.

We just happened to stop by here on the way in to the aquarium and found some interesting exhibits. This is definitely for those who like seafaring history.

Museums are always great places to visit when the weather outdoors, doesn't feel comfortable. This one is no exception. Even on a nice day, you can get lost and wander through history, gaining an appreciation for the Pacific Islander's way of life. On display are...More
