Chanced upon the beach and was captivated by it. Went there during sunset and it was so beautiful with the island in the backdrop. Wasn’t very big but was enough for us to stay there for a while to enjoy the sunset. Blissful...
Nice, sandy beach next to clear waters with some sun beds to rent, but better to bring own towel. There’s not too much shade and sun can be relentless, so be ready and bring a lot of sun block. Lifeguards on duty are quite strict...More
We had just about 2 hours to shoot photos on the beach. So we had our outfits and tripods ready! Nearby parking is available the woman manning it was super polite! We had a lot of fun taking photos on this beautiful beach!
We visited Emerald Beach full of expectations as it is described as one of the most beautiful beaches in Okinawa. The beach is wonderful to look at. It is conveniently located in the Ocean Expo Park close to the Aquarium. You can park, but use...More
Came here in early May whilst driving around the island. The beach wasn't really that special nor was it particularly busy, probably because it was an overcast day. Need to be careful with parking in the vicinity as some places charge crazy prices.
A very basic beach, very little great about it, not sure why this is highly rated, even Hong Kong has better beaches, wouldn’t recommend staying on the main Okinawa island for beaches, should to a day trip to other islands for the beaches
What I like:
-it is within Ocean Expo Park
-it is very suitable for under 10 kids
-very well organised beach ; there is First Aid on site, retail outlet for swimming gears, snack bar, shower facility.
-There is a platform in the Ocean for...More
I was seriously considering the new Viking Emerald ship. I am starting to reconsider. Can anyone give me a good reference on this ship? Is it truly moldy? Is the ship too hot, poor AC? I am very picky on accommodations. I am thinking of going in March. Sounds like that would be best weather. What does everyone think? Is there another cruise line everyone loves? Please give me any words of wisdom you can on China. I definitely want a cruise ship as I am allergic to seafood and need someone...More

I've heard good remarks and hope they're true since I'm cruising on it this February. I travel a lot internationally. This is a much smaller cruise ship than I'm use to but that has its pluses. If you go with a negative attitude, it will be bad and all the bad things will jump out at you. If you go with a desire for fun and a good attitude then it will all go well :-) I like its itinerary and want to see it all plus have a good time! There will be negatives connected to every cruise there is....More

>> Considering a trip in February 09 our agent has offered Aiyapura, Chang Park Resort or Emerald cove can anyone advise on the best bet? Amari Emerald Cove without a doubt - check the reviews on the hotel section of the Tripadvisor site. Aiyapura second as it's a ncie enough place but too remote. Chang Park along way back in third. >>We enjoy getting out in the evening to bars & restaurants so are there any within walking distance of these hotels or were is the best...More
