The aquarium is spread out over a large area and has a very hilly terrain from the parking area to the ticket area, so i recommend good walking shoes. The price was fair and the place was well maintained. It was crowded and we felt...More

A good place to spend the day. Nice aquarium with whale sharks, dugong, and many more large mammals and fishes. Dolphin show was likewise nice but not extraordinary. Food,as expected, can be better. The botanical garden inside the expo park is worth the trip.

Pleasantly planned out, there are so many things to do in the park. The aquarium is very nice but what detracts from the experience is of course the crowds. We went on a Saturday, not a good idea. Don’t miss the specimens of dolphin and...More

I arrived the aquarium after 17:00 and we got discount for evening admission! The aquarium is big and there are lot of interesting ocean creatures! I love it ! Worth to come if you are traveling to Okinawa.

The aquarium is HUGE! Set inside the Ocean Expo Park that houses many different exhibits including the aquarium. There is a small shuttle that connects the different parks to help people from one place to the next. Inside the aquarium are many local fishes and...More

I am not an advocate of keeping fishes in aquarium as they should belong to the open ocean. This is a nice place for family to witness not 1 but 2 whale sharks. Take note of the feeding session time as that is the highlight...More

As one of the largest aquarium in Japan and perhaps in Asia, this place is highly recommended visiting especially for kids. It tends to have more varieties of aquatic animals. The main room where you can see the large tank with Shark whale is impressive...More

Really well curated space. From the magnificent park that surrounds it to the journey through the aquarium rooms. Great for adults and great for kids. Only disappointing thing was going to the top of the largest tank and walking through. There is not anything to...More

Nice aquarium with multiple mini aquariums to see fishes that you won’t see everywhere! The best is the main aquarium which is indeed very impressive especially when they feed the fish! The aquarium is located in a nice park where you can spend a whole...More

So there are thousands of sea creatures from all depths of the ocean here. The whale sharks are the most famous but my favourite section was the deep sea area. It is crowded with lots of families and school groups. This is unavoidable unless you...More

Yes it has an ATM at the entrance. However, I don't recall if it takes overseas bank cards.

Google maps states it's a 15 minute drive from the port to the aquarium. If the aquarium is all you're seeking, I'd recommend a taxi. Unfortunately, the information on taxis in motobu is in Japanese. Good luck, it's a great... More
