We arrived around 6pm, very busy and without Japanese speakers in our group we wouldn’t have got in. The facilities are great. Inside and outside pool, wash area with soap an shampoo. The outside pool surrounded by snow is a highlight.

My first time in an onsen and was anxious but it was clean, comfortable, private and had a gorgeous outdoor bath (under a roof) which was magnificent to sit in whilst it snowed all around. Even awkward teen sons loved it and returned everyday after...More

A great onsen that is similar in style to the ones I've experienced in Tokyo. That is, a seperate change room, big section with showers for washing, and multiple baths at different temperatures. Bonus for the outdoor onsen to watch the snow fall (it's still...More

Well worth the 500 yen fee. Very friendly and helpful attendant with limited English. She explained each bath and what it was best for. The second inside and outside were my favorites but the hotter inside was also very comfortable. Facilities were very clean and...More

Here you do not feel uncomfortable, discrete bulletin describes the process. That will also ensure that the do not Westerners make fools of themselves.Clean and fresh Onsen which is relatively newly built. Bath with different temperatures, from pleasant to what feels like a boiling pot.

This was our favorite onsen in Nozawa. Costs 500 yen/person, but well worth it. Very nice and clean indoor and outdoor onsen. There is a separate changing area with sinks and hair dryers, and cubbies for your belongings. In the onsen there are also very...More

This was our favourite Onsen experience in Nozawa. Even though you have to pay to use it ¥500/adult ¥300 child, it was well worth it and we visited twice in one week. Highly recommend.

Open from 10am to 8pm, Furusato No-yu is an enjoyable bathhouse. Entrance fee is ¥500. Our hotel had a coupon so our group of four paid ¥400 each. Small lockers are available to store your shoes at the entrance. The locker room has cubbies to...More
