Good to visit, very informative with exhibits from the past to present, definitely worth it. The only negative point is that I visited in winter and inside it was freezing!

It was really cold Ned we were keen to warm up so it was a big disappointment to find that this place was so chilly. Very interesting displays well set out with a bit of English set on 2 levels. Would have stayed longer if...More

Really enjoyed learning about the history of skiing in Japan. This is well done and is worth a visit if you are not skiing!

This was an excellent way to spend an afternoon while not skiing looking at the amazing history of skiing itself. The early equipment, Olympic history of Japan and Austria's influence. The origins of skins on skis! and how the early villagers managed to have fun...More

Definitely worth going there for a visit, there are an impressive number of items exposed of great historical value. The only suggestion would be for the staff/ owners to keep it warmer inside and also to add more English translations for the relevant pieces, as...More

The ski museum is a must visit. Such a great history of the village and skiing in Japan. Lots of Olympic medals and stories. You'll see a lot of pictures of the Japanese Olympians .... then bump into the same people (looking a bit older)...More

I found the Japan Ski Museum very good and would highly recommend any visitor to Nozawa Onsen to check it out at least once. I think it was around ¥300 (about $3) to enter and makes a good 'bad weather' alternative. Probably only need to...More
