Fun!

First time snowboarding. Staff was nice, and things ran smoothly. It was rough for me to get up and going, but so much fun!

Tsugaike has several lifts and a gondola. The resort is great for beginners & intermediate riders. Don't forget to visit the tiny outdoor hot spring by the bottom station of Tsugaike gondola.

When we went, early-mid Jan there wasn't much snow. Tsugaike and Cortina had more snow and runs that were open compared to the Hakuba resorts. Use the Value coupon, as you get food included. We went after 2 days of no snow, hard packed and icy. The line was ginormous as it was a Japanese PH and weekend. We went... More

Really good mountain for all levels of skills. The trails are nice and wide with some steep sections to make the them more fun! It does get a bit cloudy closer to the summit. Definitely a great mountain!

We went here for half a day. The first run you go on near the gondola is very slow and for a beginner I found it quite hard to get some technique going. Then we found the left side of the mountain and that was alot better. The runs were thinner in width in comparison to the first run, however... More

This resort was very popular with beginners. The runs all seem to be very similar. Not suited to advanced skiers or snow boarders

Over the past two seasons we have visited each ski field in the Hakuba area at least twice. For myself and my two children (17 & 18 years old) we like Tsugaike the best. It took us virtually the whole day to go down almost every run that was available - of course we did quite a few of them... More

We visited Tsugaike today with our 4 yr old. They had an excellent magic carpet area where he could ski and play with the other kids. There were sleds and other tubes there also. There is also a restaurant with an excellent play area as well at the beginner area. The skiing at the front is long and wide- great... More

Went last winter. Great powder snow and slopes were magnificent. Not so many snow boarders as Happo. Great skiing and playing on the sleigh with kids on the main beginners slope.

Lots of snow, no crowds, varied ski runs, friendly people, many dining options, inexpensive lift passes
