Peaceful farm
Sep 2018
This is one of famous farm in Japan. You have to pay for entry fee but there are huge! You can get very fresh ice cream and milk and it’s so lovely! There are very relaxed and beautiful place. Also you can see some cute farm animals. If the weathers good,I recommend.
とても広くて一日中のんびり過ごせる場所です。新鮮な牛乳やアイスクリームを堪能し、動物達に癒され、天気が良ければ最高の場所です。

Nice farm with plenty to do and see
Oct 2018 • Couples
The farm has things to do that will satisfy all members of the family. You don't have to pick activities that are charged. Your 8 hundred yen entrance fee lets you have access to barns, shops, flower beds and playground. Mt Iwate in the background is visible everywhere. My only complaint, staff all don't speak English. Signage in English also lacking. Makes one feel that they are not really interested to cater to foreigners.

Nice park for family with views of Mt iwate

There are animals, flowers, autumn leaves and restaurants in the farm. Expansive lawn for kids to run on. The soft ice cream is really milky. Also try their cheesecakes made in the house.

One for milk lovers and nature lovers.

We arrived on a very rainy day. It was so rainy there was hardly anyone else there despite it being the Sunday of a three day weekend. We paid to go in, paid for a tractor tour, paid to made wooden bird houses. I parted with a lot of money thst first hour but it was so worth it. The kids loved the tractor tour, building and painting birdhouses inside, and the farm pizza and ice cream. It was so spread out, despite the driving rain it was a lovely environment to be in.The food was great. The kids could tun and shout and there was plenty of space. Really recommend this place, simple and enjoyable.

Well balanced nature and attraction

I visited with my dog.
With a dog, you might experience some limitation as areas are strictly limited considering there are a lot of animals. Even tight for a walk.
People are friendly but not with dogs.

There is a place to see cherry tree with my. Iwate. Greatest scene!

KOIWAI 小岩井農場 was one of the stops in our 2016 Autumn leaf-viewing Trip. We enjoyed the ice cream more than the scene on this rainy day. We missed the cows/cattle.

Koiwai Farms is yummy!
Aug 2012 • Family
This farm is fun to visit for kids and for adults who just want to get out and take a walk in the fresh air. But it is the soft-cream that brings us back time after time! If you're a meat lover, this is the place, but for a vegetarian there is precious little to eat in the restaurants. Better to bring a picnic and sit in the grass. Or better yet, ice cream for lunch!
It seems the animals are fairly well-treated, but that is something I'd like to know more about.
