An alternative to Farm Tomita

If you came to Furano during peak season when lavenders reach full bloom, farm tomato will be very crowded and there will be traffic jam. If you rent a car, I recommend you to... read more

As I visited this place in October, only a small portion of the area was covered with flowers. However, we were glad we could see sunflowers here, which were not available in Tomita Farm and Choei Lavender Farm then. Spent some time taking photos of sunflowers. I supposed this place will be much more beautiful in other months. Drop by... More

If you came to Furano during peak season when lavenders reach full bloom, farm tomato will be very crowded and there will be traffic jam. If you rent a car, I recommend you to come here as there are fewer people and the view of lavenders which equally beautiful with backdrop of mountains. You can also take a short ride... More

top of the mountain with the great view of lavender with nakafurano town background. Not to far from JR nakafurano station. you can walk to this farm in 20-25 min. or driviing but for me biking is the best choice. Even it's a slope road but good for bike too. The morning time is the best way to visit during... More

Beautiful! We like this more farm more than Tomita Lavender. They had a lot of flowers. We spent over an hour here walking around and taking pictures.

Not far from JR Nakafurano station but took me 30 minutes to reach this farm, as there was a very steep hike going to the location. There were very few people when I came even though it was peak lavender season, adding more charm to the place. It was very picturesque as the fields were placed on the side of... More

Everyone goes to Tomita. But Saika no sato is a nice little secret. A bit further from Tomita but NO Crowds here. Here unlike at Tomita, you not only get the lavenders but you don't jostle with others for the clear unobstructed view and photo. You can also immerse yourself close to the flowers for the great iconic shot. Also... More

This is just 10 mins away from Nakafurano Choei Lavender Farm which is jammed with tourists. But Saika no Sato is a lot more quiet. The scale can't compare to Farm Tomita, but you can at least take a picture or two without a big crowd behind you.

Saika no Sato is actually a 5-min drive from Farm Tomita, and provides just as good views, all without the tourists! It is smaller, though, yet it provides great views for photo-op.
