When we visited this place in early October, it was closed and looked deserted. We were the only ones there. We could still explore a small portion of the field with flowers still surviving. The sunflowers were all facing down, starting to wither soon. It was drizzling, windy and cold for that day. I supposed this place will be much more beautiful in other months. See my short video of sunflowers dancing in the wind.

It is for sure a farm with flowers everywhere. They have an advantage leaving a small narrow passage in a depth of half meter inside the flowers. You can stand or sit there and take photos.
The farm is over the hill and the view is really great. They also have a small counter selling melon fruits. Another counter is selling melon products. There is a small workshop where you can fill you own Sleep buckwheat hull pillow and also Potpourri knob (fragrance bag). Probably 10 minutes for both of them.

Visited a few flower fields in the area and this place was another beauty. It wasn't as big as some of the other ones but the location was well elevated on top of a hill. We could therefore see the field of flowers with a more extended background of patty fields and a little houses distance away.

There were some photo spots inside the lavender field which gave that sea of lavender image. We easily spent 30-45min here walking around the field. Free admission so we tried to support the farmers by buying some local produce from the shop.

PS. I think some reviewers mistook this as Shikisai-no-oka. You may also want to check that out.

First farm we went, not very crowded like Tomita farm. Very spacious and good variety of flowers but it is not a very big farm with impressive view.
Tried their lavender ice cream and milk ice cream, both are very good.
Visited it in mid afternoon, very hot. Must bring umbrella or hat.
The farm is stroller accessible.

This farm is beautiful. While it has less lavenders compared to Tomita, it more then made up for its great poppies fields - which was in full bloom in July. If you read my review on Farm Tomita, I would say, this is the place where you get a much more intimate experience with the flower farm. A lot less crowded. Great for photography without someone in your backdrop. You can get up close and personal. It is a great place. Situated on a hill overlooking the picturesque valley belong, it provides a nice backdrop for photography, strolling leisurely among the flowers or just quiet idling taking in the views. There is only a tram to bring you around if you are not inclined to walk among the flowers.

You also get the necessary food, ice cream, shopping amenities for fruits, lavenders and other flower related products and some local souvenirs. The only drawback is the lack of lavender fields. So you should cover both this farm and Tomita to get the full experience.

There are many similar flower fields around Furano and Biei. This one is the greatest one but still worth for visiting and photo-taking. It should also be a famous place for taking pre-wedding photo.

This is part of our one-day bus tour from Sapporo. The flower field is nice, but not as good as Tomita Farm. Lunch is very limited with no English menu. Only some photos are available. The taste is very good though.

Situated on top of the hill this flower farm is smaller compare to Shikisai no Oka and farm tomita but it is still a very beautiful place to visit. Flowers were blooming radiantly during my visit and the view of the town below from the flower field is simply amazing. It was hot during summer however, the windy breeze makes it tolerable. There is a cafe where souvenirs and local farm produce can be purchase. We dad the sweetest corn and melon from this place at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately it was only July. I suppose the best time would be September. We visited six gardens and this is by far the largest. It was not as flat as Tomita but similarly popular. I like the hilly setting here. Free entrance. You have a few choice of rides that you can pay for that brings you around the site, including bus, golf cart and motor tricycle. Big souvenir shop.
