This is a public bath area which the open air hot spring is facing the Shakotan Peninsula. I would say visit close to sunset will be the perfect timing. Love the feel of the hot spring make your skin feel silky. Entrance $610.
I love this onsen for it's location. Soaking in the outdoor onsen, watching the sunset is one of the best ways to spend an afternoon.
The biggest problem, it's big and can sometimes be crowded.
