Unfortunately, what was probably the best course on the island is now reverting back to jungle. Staff at Sheraton confirmed it was closed when I rang (wanted to play there). I drove past the course two days later and it's been closed for a while. Fairways are severely overgrown and barely distict anymore. I'd guess there's been no work done on the course for over 6 months.
Golf on Upolu is only at the two courses near Apia now.

Challenging but enjoyable!
Jan 2012 • Couples
This course is very challenging but thoroughly enjoyable! There are several dog-legs, water hazards, including the sea, those wonderful deep bunkers and undulating landscape with plenty of big trees with drooping branches. Love the drinks cart that comes around quite often to sell you snacks, water and for wanting of something to deal with the frustration and lost balls, some good old ice cold Vailima beer!!

A brand new club house traditional styled "Fale" is currently under construction. It looks very impressive and no doubt will be a popular 19th hole!

The only thing that is annoying at times is the golf carts dying on you which necessitates ringing up the club house to send a replacement. Good if you have the number!
