About Le Millesime
When you come on board the Millesime, you will notice that this modern passenger boat is the easiest and a unique way to explore the riches of the Agathois heritage, between Sea, River, Lagoon and Canal. The captain, a native son, will be pleased to discover this heritage which is so dear to the heart through a lively and informative commentary. Leave room to relax with family or friends, on the calm waters of the Canal du Midi, for some sea fishing or to sample the delights of a sardine evening

A most enjoyable trip Escape Expedition to the Thau Lagoon. The trip had a very informative commentary describing everything of any interest during the entire trip. A delightful tasting of fresh oysters and a drink of local Picpoul de Pinet was very welcome.

Nice crew on the boat. However, we were given a booklet with English translation which isn't ideal for a four and half hour duration. As there are other nationalities onboard a good idea would be to have earphones which could plug in to a system with a few different languages to translate the commentary. The crew spoke continuously for two solid hours in French, it was quite loud. The seating was hard and uncomfortable for such a long trip, no cushioning just hard plastic. There was limited drinks selection and no snacks. The second half of the trip there was cartoons playing loudly in the undercover seating area so even though there was hardly any commentary you could not sit and relax and take in the ambiance of the countryside quietly sailing down the Canal du Midi. It was pretty uninteresting with minimal wildlife. The overhang of the roof of the boat had no signage to indicate how low it was and my son who is just over 6' hit his head twice on this. Brightly coloured tape or similar would highlight this height problem.

We took the 4.5 hours boat trip Escape Excursion on the Herault River, Canal de Midi and Thau Lake. The captain talked very enthusiastically about everything we saw but in French. We got a booklet with the same story in our language but it was not the same experience. Our son who is 8 years found it very boring. Our daughter who is 10 did just fine. As adults we had a great time and would be happy to do it again. It was no problem to bring our own food and drinks. On the boot you could also buy cold soft drinks. The crew was very friendly and the captain even turned the boat to fetch someone's hat out of the river.
