I’ve gone deep-sea fishing three times now with Go South Charters , and they have more than surpassed my expectations each time. Captain Walter and his crew are very professional and extremely knowledgeable in their craft. The “All In” is a 48 foot yacht that is perfect for fishing, and for relaxing when you don’t have a fish on the line. We caught numerous mahi, yellowfin tuna, and hooked a 300+ pound black marlin on our last trip. You can’t go wrong fishing with these guys, and I highly recommend Go South Charters for any fishing excursions that you might be looking for.

We had a great half day on the water with GoSouth. We told the captain and the guide that we wanted to see whales and sea turtles, and they did not disappoint. We saw a humpback within 15 minutes of being on the water. We also spotted a pair of mating sea turtles. They then took us snorkeling, wake boarding, tubing, on a tour of the mangroves, and we saw a newborn baby whale on the way back. It was an amazing half day.
We did have a small hiccup at our meeting. We they changed the boat on us at the last minute (to a bigger boat) so it took us an extra 15-20 minutes to meet up. The team was more than made up for the time.

We had an epic day of offshore fishing on the La Charanga yesterday! Captain Wilbur and First Mate Jonathan were accommodating and skilled fisherman. After catching 3 Roosters and 1 Needle Nose, Captain Wilbur put us right on the spot and within minutes we reeled up a Red Snapper and Amberjack. We asked for two more before we went home and sure enough we had them in the boat in minutes! Definitely great service and a fantastic experience as I will use them next time I fish in CR!

We had a blast with the guys at GoSouth! We spend one morning learning to surf and another morning fishing, tubing, water skiing and snorkeling, all with the amazing scenery of the Papagayo Peninsula. Rebecca, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating, rescheduling our time on the Charanga when we didn't feel comfortable heading out due to windy conditions (we are a family of six, kids ranging from 6 to 13 years old). Thank you all at GoSouth for making our vacation adventurous and memorable!

We went surfing with Andreas & Sergio and they were amazing! Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 tween) all went and they were great at teaching and making sure everyone was able to get up and learn the basics. Super patient, very nice and their English was excellent. Would highly recommend them!

We had the very best experience on our fishing day with Erickson and Wilbur! We have had a fabulous trip this week, and this fishing trip was the perfect ending! The boat was comfortable with plenty of shade. We caught lots of fish, and they tailor-made the trip for our 10 year old son, so we all had a wonderful time! Please ask for the fresh guacamole and pico de gallo from Erickson! We plan to come back next year and will ask for the same guides and fishing trip again!

My daughter and I did surf lessons, and they were amazing. We were picked up by boat on the beach in front of our resort and were brought to a beautiful beachy area. The lessons were amazing, and we were able to surf for hours. Sergio and his captain were kind, thorough, and made the day really special. I highly recommend them, especially you are beginners like us.

The best trip you can take in Guanacaste. Excellent boats and very well maintained, with the best staff!
This is a family-operated company, the owners are extremely professional, passionate, friendly, respectful and authentic Costa Ricans. They have multiple motor boats, surf boards, fishing gear, skis, etc; GoSouth made everything smooth, relaxing and enjoyable. The tour we did was the “fun day at the ocean” tour with the “sunset booze cruise”.
The options for water sports were endless, -we went tubing- the sight seeing at Bahía Culebra and surroundings was exceptional (mangroves, sunset, etc.).
Their cooler was packed with drinks and snacks for us to enjoy. We loved relaxing on the boat and taking in all the beauty that the Peninsula has to offer.

We had a awesome afternoon surfing at Iguanita Beach with the Francisco. All four of us were beginners and able to get up on our own eventually. Francisco is an excellent instructor and made it the perfect family event. Would definitely repeat if we had the time.

I wondered how this company had so many 5 star reviews, and now I know. We had a fantastic day, probably the best of our entire trip. Communication with Go South (we used Instagram) was smooth and easy. We combined surfing with fishing and they worked with us to customize our day. Captain Wilbur and First Mate Johnathan were attentive and helpful. Boat was modern and well maintained, with plenty of shade for everyone. Wilbur spent a huge part of the day in the water just getting pics of us surfing. Everyone got a turn reeling in fish, and the crew wasn't leaving until everyone felt we'd caught enough. Thanks, it was such a smooth, fun day! We'll be back!

I was looking at booking a day trip with your amazing team. We would be a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids are ages 15 x2 and 12 x2. All kids are basically adult sized. Would the charanga be large enough for us?

We totally enjoyed taking the trip a few years ago. Caught four Mahi Mahi and was quite entertained by the captain.
