I wouldn't drive 200 km just to see this waterfall, but if you're close by, it's worth spending an hour or two. It's only a couple of minutes away from Highway 1, so chances are you'll pass by it. The path down to the waterfall...More

My husband and I recently visited the waterfall as part of a day of activities in Costa Rica. The waterfall was absolutely beautiful - we arrived first thing and were the only ones there. There are supposedly no animals in the water so it's relatively...More

I am so glad to have stopped by here, make sure you make it part of your Costa Rica adventure. There is a rest room on site with no toilet paper, other than that, nothing near, so bring water or a snack.

We visited here with a large group in June 2018. Our GPS, it seems, was routing to the community of.... not the park entrance. When you turn off the highway, there are homemade waterfall signs everywhere. The park entrance is just a short distance, but...More

What a delight...streams of water cascading into a natural pool, surrounded by the sight and sounds of the Costa Rican jungle. And, as just about the first ones there, we could enjoy it without any crowds or people blocking the view or our photos. Go...More

The path isn’t super flat, but it is a very short path down to the waterfall. Two in shape adults made it in 3 minutes. I think that you may be able to maneuver your way down with your kids without much trouble, but not... More

I did it with bad knees (knee replacement scheduled in 1 wk and the other in 3 mo!) but my husband was there to assist! The gravel path is pretty flat overall and the steps have some rocks to grab.
