Bat Cave in Moc Chau
Feb 2019
It was very nice. I could see everything - the sun light came right in. There are a lot of steps to get to it. Be prepared.

Better than expected

We visited the cave with our children aged 6 and 8. When we visited at around 2pm we were the only visitors at the cave. The cave is located on the main road running through Moc Chau. To access the cave you'll need to climb some steps. As you start the climb you will see the ticket booth, the window displayes the entrance fee of 10,000 dong per adult and children are free. The steps leading up are a little steep and unevenly spaced but there are rails to hold on to. Once at the top is the main cave and a small cave , as well as a bit of a view of Moc Chau.
Inside , there are some shrines and impressive stalactites and stalagmites and a few bats. There are some steps so you can explore although without hand rails . The cave is lit so no need to bring a torch. Occasionally we could see and smell bat droppings, so were glad we had our hats with us.

I came into this cave in the morning, which there was no people around me, just only me came inside. so cold and scary. We could see stalactite which is constructed by our mother nature. From the shape of elephant, money, a tortoise, mother and son, etc. It is good for visiting in the mountainous area.

This cave is not very big. Just spend 1-2 hrs you can finish visiting. The price I remember is 1.2 USD ( 30000vnd).
Just walk up few step and you got the cave and can enjoy the beautiful nature stone in side. You could visit in the early morning or evening when the light go in make it look amazing

The Cave has just over 100 bats living inside. According to legend, there was a dragon who flew to the cave's area and lived there for a long time. Then in order to thank for the land, the dragon gave to 7 small mountains around that area. It is able to be changed the color during the day, such us White in the moring, green in the noon, and yellow.
In the past there were thousands of bats living in the cave, but they flew out because the effect of the smoking from incense.
