Where can you go around Marple where the seats are comfortable up or down and the tickets are reasonably priced and watch up to the minute films. The answer is you cannot. If you haven’t been to the Regent Cinema, Marple make it your next venture and we guarantee you will return.

This place is for every one.
Great historical cinema. With up todate films. Best price at 5 pound a seat, child and adults. Still sell ice crams at the intervilla
Just watching Dr do little

Please support it or it may close for good and this would be sad for another place of history and culture to go.

It's way better than the multi complex cinemas it has a personal touch. And a passionate team.

Lovely little cinema takes you back to the golden age and very good value. There is plenty of parking spaces. Our last visit was to see Mrs Lowry and son , we all had a very enjoyable evening. All seats are bokable.

I had not been to this cinema for a while.I ordered tickets for my friend and I online.which was new for me.Still cheap tickets at 5.50 plus a 40p booking fee.Usual friendly welcome. Lovely comfortable seats.Cheap drinks, ice cream for a pound. And a interval.A lovely local cinema. Miles better than the multiplex cinemas.

This cinema is my number one choice to see a film. A proper, well-run cinema, with comfortable seats, and an interval with ice cream available. Good choice of films. Always a good night out. Local cinemas need our support!

I rarely write reviews, but this evening i feel a review would help others like us. We used to love this cinema and i'm sure if you actually manage to go its probably still as quaint as ever. So this evening we finally got the green light to go out together (hurray!) for the first time in 3 months since our baby arrived. Great i thought we could go to Marple cinema. How wrong was I... I spent over a hour trying to get through on the phone during which time it was either engaged or unanswered (ringback didn't work either). A grumpy gent finally answered the phone and when i tried to book tickets with him, he very curtly told me that there were no seats available to book until December! and i should just turn up at 7.15pm to chance it with the 63 unreserved seats! I explained that we would not be able to make it out this early since my husband works and I have a baby to feed before we can leave the house, also that we would find it very disappointing if having finally got a babysitter, we arrived at the last minute having finished our child duties for the day and couldn't get in, so we really need to be able to book. Silence from grumpy gent who offered me no help. Gobsmacked by how rude he was I hung up the phone. My husband tried to call again, because we really did love this place and we were looking forward to finally having a night out there. After another long wait my husband spoke to an equally grumpy girl, he tried to appeal to her better nature and explained the situation, where upon was told he could not book one of the 63 unreserved seats, that he should just come another night! This girl was equally devoid of empathy or assistance over the phone. Bottom line, if you are a new parent save yourself the unnecessary stress and do something else. Its a shame Marple cinema discriminates against new parents in this way and I do hope that they read this review and try to correct their failings, put yourselves in your customers shoes Marple cinema! We are now left with no choice but to go to faceless cinema x for our night out.

We LOVE Marple Cinema. As a lot of people have pointed out, it really is a throwback to some great long lost times.

The cinema is on the main road into Marple Town centre and if you arrive early enough you can get a car parking space right outside.

If not , parking is fine after 7pm on Asda which is only a very short walk away from the cinema.

Price - well you cant beat them. £5 for stalls and £5.50 for the more comfy seats at the rear of the stalls and also the circle. Great price for us as a family, as it can be very expensive visiting the other big multi screen complexes.

Like any cinema there is a supply of treats and drinks at the concession stand again not overly priced.

There is an interval!!!! Yes how brilliant!!! My kids love the interval as this is when the usherette/usher arrives with the ice creams!!! And guess what- they are only £1!!!

You can just arrive at the cinema and get a seat or if you want to splash out an extra 50p you can call up and book your more premium seats. If you haven't booked and the film is a new release get there early to get a seat.

Although this is an old cinema don't be fooled - it is well used and gets very very busy when a good film first arrives.

We always wait for the films to come to Marple as we love the cinema , the staff are really friendly and all in all its good value for a family.

Visit Marple regent cinema to ensure it continues to serve the wider community! :-)

This is an excellent local cinema which endears iteself to everyone with quirky features such as the interval for ice creams, extra legroom seating in the circles, its prices, the quality of the films, its staff (who actually seem interested in whether you enjoyed the film) and its town centre location.
This is a special cinema - go now.

What a lovely little cinema in the beautiful old theatre. Great sound & view of a current film. Friendly staff .Central seats in Row A of the stalls were great seats ( the front of the back section). And what a lovely surprise that we had a half time interval with ice creams sold for £1 each.
A lovely little theatre in Marple & a lovely experience. Well worth a visit.
