Lovely place and we had driven past so many times on the way to Woodchester Park and hadn’t realised what an amazing view it has !
Parking is free and there is plenty of it. It’s a popular dog walking place so you need to keep your eyes open when walking off the beaten track! There is a very well signed walk , part of the Cotswold Way , to Selsley Common...about three miles through woodland ...it’s magical ! Quite a lot of up and down slopes but well worth it and great views from Selsley Common too.
No loos just so you are aware .

Lovely place. Scenic drive and amazing views. Perfect picnic spot especially for the families. Just make sure you keep an eye on the young children especially if you go through the wooden gate out in the open area as there’s no protection around the edges.

Great views and a good spot to walk dogs or have a family picnic.
There’s a car park which fills up quickly on a nice day.
There’s an excavated, collapsed 5000+ year old long barrow on the park which is good to see and very interesting.

While we stoped for the Nymsfield barrow, we found the view from Coaley Peak to be much more enthralling. It was too windy the day we were there, but there are large spaces for picnics!

Lovely place for a walk. Especially with dogs. Beautiful views. You might even catch the ice cream van up there 🍦

While on our way to Woodchester Mansion we were looking for a picnic place and ... all of a sudden saw a signpost to Coaley Peak viewpoint. Decided to have a look and what a treat! A lot of green, picnic space with picnic tables. Great views too!

Stunning views, ample of parking for free, a lovely area to visit with benches to sit at. Was clean of litter and any type of rubbish and well kept. Will return!

Another lovely hour spent here today, easy free parking and a few picnic tables. As always few bins which is a big issue when the ice cream van will not provide a bin or take your rubbish. The ice cream prices are astronomical- £10 for 2 adult single creams and 2 kids lollies.... made worse by the VERY rude and arrogant ice cream van man!!!!

Free of the lead again today and went back every time I was called, other than when another cute cockapoo made friends. Found out that rabbit poo tastes nice, yummy. What a great place to run and relax, with superb views over the Severn Vale. Take a look in the old burial stone and have a look at the guidance dial showing all the places you can see. Don’t forget a picnic, yum yum.
