Well worth a visit to see the other side. 23,000 here 14,000 in a mass grave. It does make you think that it should have been the war to stop all wars. Please visit and look at booth sides.

We of course visited many British and Commonwealth Cemeteries, but young men gave their lives on both sides, and t was good to pay our respects to these young lads too.

It's easy to forget that the young German soldiers from ww1 were also victims of an awful war. Def worth seeing.

We visited this German Cemetery April 26th. There is a little place in front of the cemetery to park your car. In this cemetery rest 30.481 German soldiers, mostly killed in one of the 3 Battles of the Somme. 15.000 of them rest in a mass grave. There is a chapel with a mosaic ceiling. On the left and right side of the pathway to the chapel you will find the coats of arms of different German cities.
