Great place

We took our friends here to celebrate a big birthday, Jayne , one of the owners took us around the brewery to sample some amazing beers. Hard to say which we liked as we liked a lot, and there’s many to choose from. We also visited there Tap Room, on the second night , there was a food truck outside doing delicious ribs, and an amazing live Irish Band inside, with the beer, wine and atmosphere, we had an absolute brilliant night

We were made very welcome by the owner and staff alike and spent a very pleasant couple of hours in the BDQ. The local area has lots of bars, however, they are all 'outside' venues. This place you can sit inside very comfortably when on the odd occasion its too cold outside. The mix is as ever 50/50 English speaking/French. Family friendly and a very good time was had by all. The beer is also top notch. We will be back very soon - hopefully someone else will drive next time!

If you like a bunch of snotty, expat Brits moaning about Brexit and beer that tastes like tree bark and fungus, this is the place for you. Oh, and it costs about €8 a bottle !
Nice village though.

Thank you for your feedback Camp_Bryan, we take all feedback seriously and are sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your visit. Predominately our clients are French and our policy of 'everybody is welcome' works really well for us. In August (when Tripadvisor says you visited) our clients will have travelled from all over France, indeed all over the world. Even in low season it is not unusual to have several different nationalities together. We're very proud of that. We make all of our beers and we distribute throughout France, some people visit us because they've tried our beers elsewhere, others discover us by chance because they're visiting our beautiful village. We're confident that we price fairly. We have a very wide range of beers and pricing that corresponds. Many of our beers are 2.50€ - the same price that bars in neighbouring towns sell industrially produced beers. We do have some at 8€ and the most expensive beer on our menu is a Limited Edition 9-month-barrel-aged Gold Medal Winning Beer at 9.60€. Like all our beers, it sells out very quickly. Brexit is a hot topic, we doubt there's a Bar in Europe where it isn't being discussed. We have taken your comments on board though and we will now make sure that tissues are available at the bar for anyone feeling Snotty, depressed about Brexit or weepy about the lack of bark and fungus flavoured beer. We notice this is your first review and it took you 4 months to write it. We wish you a Happy New Year.

Great beer

Visited this brasserie at the end of September on a Sunday night - we were a group of 7 and we went in for pizza. This is a very friendly and well used bar/restaurant who serve a good selection of beers but also a limited selection of wine. Pizza choice is limited but cooked in a wood smoked oven to order and served piping hot - I really like chilli oil with pizza and it was also available. There was a numerous customers, most were there for drinks in the evening sun, enjoying the low key music and modern vibe - quite a nice contrast in a traditional and picturesque village, it’s well worth a visit if you are nearby.

Great Brewery and Tap Room
Jul 2018 • Friends
There are views of the mountains, excellent beers and a lovely little tap room. The beer included a wide selection of English and European styles with lots of bottles and some well kept keg/pression (including a great English IPA and Vienna larger) - would highly recommend.

Having not made it here before, I have now had two visits in a week. First was just for coffee which was excellent.
Last night was much livelier. England v France in the 6 Nations and a Mexican Food truck. Wines from my beloved Domaine Gayda, excellent service despite being incredibly busy all made for a fabulous evening. Thank you so much.
