The museum is organized as a life cycle timeline, having objects collected from citizens. It is an awesome initiative and the museum director (Mr. Radulescu) is a great and enthusiast guide.

I have visited this museum early in 2015 and i recommend it to all calarasi citizens and not only. They also have temporary exhibitions upstairs.

The Municipal Museum is located in the old city hall building, renovated in 2014. It is smartly arranged and all the items displayed are donated by the citizens of Calarasi. There is also the last mayor's office and two statues from Florence that once stood at the bottom of the stairs, but during Communist Era were moved. At the top floor there is an temporary exhibition hall and a pottery workshop. The entrance is free and the visit is very well explained by the guide.

It is a new museum, established in 2014 in the old city hall. All the exhibits are related to the history of the city itself. Aside of the permanent exhibition the museum host temporary exhibitions. These can give you a very interesting experience. If you are in the area, I think this museum worth a try.
