Never been inside yet but I did explore around the area and gor some amazing pictures at sunset. I am about to move into a house 2km away! Knowing this place is so close will be a nice retreat spot for me and a great point to show stateside visitors as well. Cant wait to go inside and see what's in store.

Just a short drive into the mountains from Aviano, this sanctuary acts as either your entrance to the mountains or the end of your alpine journey as you come to the flats of Friuli. It will be on your left if you are going up, and on your right if you are descending. It is a peaceful spot with plenty of parking, and a small shop for souvenirs or refreshments to have a break from your travels. The church is usually open, and perfect for contemplation and reflection.

A mountain road but nothing my little Fiat couldnt handle. Has a good parking area right at the church. The views are breath taking so bring a camera.

This is a must in the Friuli area.The views from the church are incredible. There are a variety of trails to enjoy. The location is peaceful. Take time to sit and reflect in the church.

From the parking area to the Santuario is only about one-half mile each way. The top has beautiful view of Aviano with ruins and a building in restoration at the top. Many trails lead in different directions with hikers, runners and bicyclists particularly on the weekends. I have walked it with my dogs approximately twice per week for the last nine months. A nice short hike where we bring visitors to the area for a little exercise.

This is a beautiful church and the view from property is absolutely stunning! We drove up but there were many cyclists working on their cardio up the winding road.

We were staying with relatives for eight weeks and my wife and I decided to take a drive up to up to see "Chrome Dome". Went inside the church and walked around the grounds.

This is a great walk after your finished dinning at Stella's restaurant. Its about a half hour walk to the top and the view is amazing. You can see all of Aviano and the neighboring villages. Perfect!!
