This is an interesting place to get closer to nature. Although it is a Zoo but animals are kept in natural surrounding. You can see Chinese Panda, Australian Koala and African Elephants.. So nothing original but the greenery of the place and history is good. Visit Russian restaurants to taste the cuisine and fresh beer from brewery within the property...... More

This is a massive and huge Zoo I ever been. A lot of thematic themes. Animals looks nice treated. If you ever go there please go soon to try see all. Don't give 5 stars because expected see a little more animals and please prohibit smoking inside park. Hope return there soon to see all. Schedules could be expanded. But... More

Forget the rest, if you have only one day to spend in Belgium, spend it there! Gorgeous park! Close contact with animals. You feel animals are happy and well treated. If you like to take pictures, welcome in heaven. For sure, a place to visit...

I have been to several zoos in the world and this one beats all of them. More than just a zoo, this beautifully landscaped wonderworld is huge, diverse, full of beautiful flowers and ancient buildings (built on the grounds of a former abbey). All regions from the world are represented and most animals have far larger living spaces than in... More

Was there with my 2 grandchildren. It is so much more than the famous pandas. It's not a traditional zoo. And you really need from morning till evening to enjoy all the attractions.one minus point is the route descriptions

It's the best zoo I've been to. No plastic and the buildings where real buildings and the train going around the zoo is a real steam locomotive. Just very pleasant to walk around the park. The kids loved it. There was a proper large play ground to play and climb around on. Although the parking lot was full when we... More

The zoo is located in and around an old abbey. The zoo hosts pandas. They have paid a lot of attention to the decor: there's a big Asian complex that hosts the elephants inspired by Indonesian and Cambodian temples. There's also a big boat where the reptiles and spiders are shown. Don't miss the bat cave in the old crypt... More

The most beautiful park / zoo i ever saw!! The variety of animals- Panda, lions, elephants, giraffes, sharks, alligators, koala, kangaroo, birds, flamingos, bats, etc etc. You will need for sure one whole day but it totally worth it!! U can eat there in one of the beautiful thematic restaurants or do a pic-nic!

This is a Zoo with a difference, totally unexpected in Belgium. The zoo is separated into several geographical areas around the world and has many inhabitants. Price of 34 Euro is a little steep, but for 68 Euro you receive a season pass, which you need to see all.

It was nearly 25 years ago I visited this park when it was mainly a bird park.... But, what a metamorphosis since then....This must be one of the most beautiful zoo in the world. The moment you enter this place, you start with a trip around the world, from India, over Africa, till China...all decorated with beautiful buildings and temples... More
