We drove to this chateau without prior notice, and were greeted happily and asked if we would like a tour. Due to our little one, we thankfully declined and just had a walk about the premises. Good for a quick stop.

We arrived, like most visitors I suspect, expecting to learn about Toulouse Lautrec, but it turned out to be such a delightful place, so full of history that the artistic connection is almost a footnote. The guided tour was excellent and our very patient guide...More

Arrived without appointment and were treated to an excellent tour and I learnt so much more about the artist and his heritage. The Chateau was an interesting building and so were the artefacts. A small café supplied coffee while we waited for our tour.

As far as Chateaus go this one is far from the most impressive I've seen. The exterior is not in great shape, the gardens are not very impressive, and the structure is really not that interesting. But if you are going here it's probably not...More

This quintessential French Chateau was one of the country retreats of the Counts of Toulouse-Lautrec. The most famous member of this family was the Impressionist painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and many memorabilia of the family and painter are hosted here. This is part historic home...More

The Chateau du Bosc, north of Albi, provides an opportunity to learn more about Toulouse-Lautrec and to view his childhood home and early drawings. His elderly relative, who stills guides some of the tours herself, is a remarkable women and worth listening to.

The French really do know how to create atmosphere and interest in Museums and art galleries. Chateau Bosc is a wonderful contribution to the genre. The descriptions of the place will tell you all you need to know about the situation, history and contents. What...More

I've visited Ch de Bosc several times and enjoyed it... one of the childhood summer homes of Toulouse l'Autrec.... especially the very personal and spirited tours of the painter's great neice... my French is OK. But a recent visit with non-French speakers was made even...More
