The fairways and greens are in immaculate condition. Holes 12 and 14 run along Lake Winnipeg for breathtaking views. The hamburgers are delicious at the kiosk at #9 and there is great food at the resort itself. Definitely worth the drive!

This course is in great shape, several holes along the water with great views. The food and service we're first rate. A great day in a great out of the way environment, wild life a plenty. A great spot

We stayed at Lakeview Hecla Resort and golfed for 2 days. They have a package for stay and golf. The course is very groomed and scenic along the lake. The course is not easy but is challenging.we have played in Florida but here the scenery is totaling
different to Florida. The staff is great and they did advise us to go early because of a large group coming . We have yet to go to the course when it is not busy. So remember that it maybe busy when you are there.
To enjoy the area stay at Hecla Resort, great rooms, large meals for the price, excellent staff and very accommodating.

We had phoned for a tee time and had asked if we could use our gift card. Three times the clerk asked her boss and they assured us we could. At the golf course the staff could not process the card. They had to call the hotel and between all the staff came up with the plan that we would have to go to the hotel, pay for our golf and then return to the course. All the staff was great during this half hour mess we were put through. We don't blame the golf staff only the idiot that didn't know that gift cards can't be processed on the machine at the course.

Great course with a mountain-like feel with all the trees on Lake Winnipeg! Nothing like this in Florida where I live and play. Immaculate greens and generous fairways; all holes are laid right out in front of you. Gary the started/marshal was most helpful.
Don't miss out on this gem!!

This course always impresses me ... Never too busy and the green fees are a steal for the quality of course you are playing.

I noticed the golf carts are upgraded from last year but now are missing the beer coolers that were very convenient. Small trade off for much nicer drive carts, just remember to bring a small cooler and ask for ice from the cart area to keep your beverages cold.

Tip: beverage cart services seem to be on weekends only, so stock up in the pro-shop on weekdays..

The previous review is accurate in that the course marshals could use a refresher on client services. I can acknowledge that when the course is busy and there is a backlog of groups it is important to move groups along but it seems they focus more on the 'target time' your round is supposed take. Ultimately a softer approach is required, in my humble opinion..

Overall, if one simply smiles and nods and then ignore the marshals you will find this course magical.

Happy golfing!!

2 adults and 2 teenage boys golfing. Course was nice. We were however approached a few times by the course marshal. First he was happy to see the young boys coming out. Then he started complaining that we were taking too long. We had no problem letting others pass us, as we knew we were slow. The other people golfing were also in groups of 2, with carts. We were a group of 4, walking. He was telling us to take ball drops and move through the course faster. The course had lots of openings and wasn't full. We did not appreciate him approaching us throughout our playing and giving us a hard time because we were slow and beginners. Again... we had no problem letting people pass us, which we did. As we can never find time to take our sons camping, thought this would be a great experience. Beautiful course for that serious golfer.
