Wild breeze was brilliant - was looked after very well from the host and makes you feel very welcome - he talks very very good English which is a massive help, also do your safari through him don’t go and pay one the of the people on the street because they don’t care about the experience they just want your money - Gihan and his driver care about the animals and take there time so they don’t rush - highly recommended

We booked a night at Wild Breeze guesthouse and met Tharindu! After messaging him about the best options to visit Yala park, we decided to book a safari with him for 2 people. You can tell he is very passionate about wildlife and he speaks perfect English. He arranged everything for us. The jeep picked us up at 5:00am from his guesthouse and took us to Yala park. He explained everything in detail and was very knowledgeable about all the animals. We never felt rush, our safari lasted for about 4 hours and because of his patience we were able to spot 2 leopards!! We saw lots of animals and loved every minute! Highlight recommend this tour! You might get hassled around town and find a cheaper price but it wont be the same experience. I also highly recommend his guest house wild Breeze. He also prepared a wonderful breakfast for the safari which was highly appreciated. Thank you for this wonderful day!!

Our little family was lucky enough to visit Yala with Tharindu - such an incredible experience! Tharindu is so passionate and knowledgeable about things within the park he had our 3 year old captivated for hours! If you are looking for a family safari within Yala, I would highly recommend Yala Safaris - our experience was so good that we went back for a second day!

Our guide was very good and I think did a good job trying to show us and find animals and if I were basing my review on that alone, I would say that Yala does a good job in that respect. However, the overall rating of this attraction was bad. We did not see very many animals (only deer, water buffalo, hogs, and monkeys). It was a boring time and not worth everything we went through to get down to this area to see it. When they spot a leopard, all the safari's message to each other and everyone goes zooming to the one point in the park. I did see the leopard waaaay off in the distance, but there must have been 15 other safari jeeps there all crowded into one point in the road. It seemed like if they were to get you to see a leopard then the whole trip was a success, but I was expecting more animals - especially like an elephant even, but there wasn't anything around but monkeys, hogs, buffalo, and deer. Because we didn't, it just seemed like a long hot, dirty and tiring morning and I am very, very glad we did not sign up for an all-day safari!!! I saw more animals and closer up at the Colombo Zoo.

Thank you for your comments. We equally value positive as well negative comments of our customers. We would asses the comments objectively and do what we could to offer the best value for money for our clients while making sure that we do minimal impact to the fauna and flora and while sustaining the safari industry. Unlike in the case of a Zoo, where animals are confined to cages, the experience of a safari in a wildlife sanctuary is different. In a Zoo you can be certain that you would see the species that are kept within the walls, but in an open range sanctuary with land extent 14100 hectare, not everyone that visits Yala is lucky enough to capture leopards hunting or elephants mating but you have to understand that leopards and elephants are not common despite the fact that yala has the highest leopard density in the world which means that the likelihood of you spotting a leopard in any other sanctuary is less. Again we are very sorry that you were unable to capture a photo of a wild leopard or a wild elephant. We will continue to do our best to satisfy your requirements within our capabilities. Thank you again for your comments.

I had the good fortune to go into Yala NP with Gihan on an afternoon Safari. What a pleasure!! He is so knowledgable and friendly making for a really enjoyable experience. He is passionate about wildlife and committed to providing his guests with a memorable experience. I had been into Yala the day before and whilst I’d had a fantastic tour, had sadly not been able to see a leopard. Gihan made sure I was not left wanting again as he made sure I was able to have the leopard encounter I was hoping for. Of course, this is nature and animals in the wild, so there are never any guarantees. But, if you want to be pretty confident on seeing the best that Yala NP has to offer, then Gihan is your guy!! Thank you for a fantastic trip and memorable day!!
