We did the half day safari in Yala National Park. We were picked up at 5 am with a nice safari jeep and were at the park in time (park opens at 6 am). In the park we saw three leopards, four elephants, many crocodiles and buffalos, some pigs and monkeys and many different birds. We spotted the leopards in the beginning of the trip and went for the other animals afterwards. It was quite hot that day so many animals were hard to find. The driver was very well connected to other drivers and tried very hard to find the animals. Also he was very good at spotting animals we didn't see.

We did a full day safari with the guide Sachika. We were in the Yala National Park from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. We saw a lot of elephants and thanks to our guide Sachika also a leopard. Our guide was always very knowledgeable about where to see animals. I would go on the safari again and recommend it to everyone.

It was very nice. We had luck and saw a lot of elefants and leopards. Also other animals like buffalos, monkeys etc. Our driver was very nice and showed and explained everything. He kept a respectful distance to the animals, but close enough to take some photos.

We did both the half day and the full day safari with Janaka. On both days he picked us up at our hotel around 4:30 in the morning. After we arrived at the entrance to the National Park, we had to wait for some time because the gate only opens at 6am. Janaka always managed to be one of the first jeeps to get into the park. For the first 30 minutes we were then driving around very fast because he wanted to find a leopard and this is the best time of the day to see them. After these ~30 minutes we also stopped to see other animals. During these amazing two days we saw buffaloes, crocodiles, a lot of elephants, Sambar deer, Tucans, wild boars, monkeys, many different kinds of bird (even a black-necked storck) and so much more. We are really lucky because we saw a beautiful leopard in the beginning of the half day tour and our second day started with a rare sloth bear. Later during the full day tour, we saw two more leopards! Janaka is a great guide, he knows so much about animals and knows where and how to find them. He is also a very good driver and even though the roads sometimes were challenging, we always felt safe. In addition, Janaka is very well connected among the drivers, so he always knows if someone has seen an interesting/special animal and where to find it. We had two exciting and impressive days with Janaka and if we ever come back to Sri Lanka we would certainly join another safari with him!
