We wanted to see wild animals in their natural habitat without causing too much disturbance. Only one part of Yala is accessible to the public so this is reassuring. At times there were lots of jeeps in one place (the leopard sighting about 400m away)...More

Disappointing if you're expecting lots of elephants, there are other parks more suited. We travelled a 6 hour round trip, to see glimpses of two elephants amongst the bush. Other animals were on show, but basically the same that you can see on a moped...More

The jeeps are very bumpy - not the most comfortable! But you don't mind for the view of the animals in their natural habitat. I would say definitely go in the morning because the animals are sleeping by the time the afternoon trip starts.

Visited with my family including three young children. First off, the half day tour is my recommendation. Unless you are the most ardent safari fan, full day is probably too much to be going over bumpy terrain. I see some complaints about it being disappointing...More
