Sampath is a very clever guy who takes a lot of effort to show forest animals such as Bear, Leopard, Elephants etc. we travel with him with great enthusiasm and we are sure he will show us animals on each trip he takes us. It has been a wonderful experience with Sampath. Every time we realize that he is the most suitable person to take us on safari showing animals in a very exciting manner. Were on an evening field trip on November 10. Saw all the residents of the reserve. There are a lot of elephants living there, seen in different locations and large and small and families. They also met many deer and buffalo. We were able to spot the mongoose at close range.

It's up to him how quickly you get to an animal that another crew met on the road and passed on information to other drivers. Also, it is up to the driver alone to determine from which position you will observe the animals. Everyone wants to be in the front row and enjoy the best view, so the driver on this tour makes a huge difference. We had a Sampath driver and thank him very much for our tour, he did his best to give us the coolest emotion of visiting the park. Don't forget binoculars and don't forget to tip drivers if you really enjoyed their work!

We went for a morning half day safari. The driver was ready and waiting for us at the arranged time. The operator kindly pre bought our tickets, allowing us to skip the long queue at the gate to enter Yala.
The driver was excellent throughout, positioning the vehicle to give us the best views of the animals. In the mid morning, a leopard was spotted, our driver raced to the area and we were very lucky to have the leopard walk close by the car!
I highly recommend Yala Odyssey tours. They communicate well, are very knowledgeable and friendly!

Despite the rain we had a wonderful tour with Priyan. He saw a lot of animals we didn't even notice and explained who they are and what their fonction is in nature. He is a joyful tour guide trying to manoeuvre you through the park in a good way, without following the main road. With definitely recommend Yala Team!!

The safari was incredible, made especially good by our jeep driver, he was so knowledgeable and was so determined to find a leopard for us, which we did! He was hidden away in the bushes but we still saw him. As well as a elephant, who came up so close to our jeep, you could see how happy our driver was for us, he really did make our experience special.
The national park itself is beautiful and wild, amazing to see the animals in their natural habitat. Thanks Yala Odyssey Tours, see you again

Perfect safari tour. We drove to Yala National Park in the afternoon and there weren't many cars around. Priyan has an eye for animals large and small. He adapts the tour flexibly to the wishes of the guests, but also knows exactly when he has to be where. Elephants, leopards, buffaloes, crocodiles, wild boars, monkeys and countless birds could be observed.

We had an incredible safari experience, spotting numerous elephants, vibrant kingfishers, crocodiles, and even a leopard closer than we ever imagined possible! The lunch and drinks provided were also wonderful.
Our driverwas an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, helpful, and highly skilled at spotting animals that we would have missed. He truly went above and beyond to make the trip memorable.

We spent a really good time with Priyan in Yala Park. He knows many places with different animals. He took photos with his professional camera that will send us later. We strongly recommend him as a Safari driver and Safari operator as a Yala Odyssey Team!!

I stayed 5 days in beautiful Tissimaharama, and i had two days tour with Yala Odyssey Team and driver priyan, one day tour for the lakes inside Tissimaharama and one day for bundala NP and yala road. He is a super nice guide who really is in love with wildlife and familiar with birds. He will take you to hot spots. I had a perfect and safe experience with Them.

Priyan is simply outstanding! This was our second safari with him in Yala—our first was in July 2023, and we returned again in November 2024. Both times, Priyan's deep connections and knowledge of Yala allowed us to have front-row views of leopards. Last July, we were also lucky enough to witness elephants both on the trail and at a water hole, and to our delight, we even spotted bears at another water hole! Truly a 10 out of 10 experience.
