Very professional and satisfying safari organisation. Our driver/guide Dilan has been a member of the organisation for over 10 years which shows in his experience, driving skills, knowledge about and finding place of the animals. Thanks to his timeliness (first 5 jeeps in the park starting 6AM) and experience, we were one of the lucky few to spot a leopard in the early morning, together with elephants, golden jackals, mongooses, tons of different species of birds, etc.

An unforgettable experience with Ajith Safari Jeep Tours! We had the incredible opportunity to witness two magnificent leopards among a plethora of other captivating wildlife. The safari jeep was not only comfortable but also tailored perfectly for this adventure. Our driver and guide Kasun was exceptional, providing us with a wealth of knowledge about the park and its surroundings. They skillfully ensured we had prime viewing spots despite the competition from other jeeps. Overall, a truly enjoyable journey into the wild !!

We had a great experience with Ajith Safari and our driver/guide Nalaka. He was very knowledgeable, calm and friendly, and had a great eye for all the animals and their traces. We got a very good binoculars and could spot the leopard even from far away. Ajith Safari was very considerate with our vegan lunch and the homemade food was so good! We booked a full day safari and it was the best decision, we did not want to leave at the end! We saw crocodiles, elephants, two leopards, jackals, mongooses, monitor lizards, rabbits, a sea eagle, and lots of water buffalos, junglefowls, peacocks, marabus, white spotted deers and more birds. Our highlight was a bathing elefant, the peacock dance and spotting the leopard. We highly recommend this tour with Ajith Safari.

I can't recommend Ajith Safari Jeep Tours enough! My family and I had an amazing time on the 7-hour Yala National Park tour with our driver-guide, Nalaka. We were able to see so much wildlife and even had the privilege of spotting two leopards up close, all thanks to Nalaka's expertise and the early park entry. The jeep was comfortable and we had plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. We will definitely be visiting Yala again and will be booking with Ajith Safari Jeep Tours without hesitation. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience!

We had a really fun safari with our guide! We were able to see two leopards, meet one elephant up close with no other jeeps around, and see a few other elephants later. We also saw hawks, a toucan, crocodiles, wild pigs, monkeys, peacocks, water buffalo, deer, and mongooses. They have binoculars on hand which is very helpful to see the shyer animals. Thanks for the adventure!

Booked a safari while traveling solo to Sri Lanka. Dilan helped me driving me around and spotting all the animals in the park, including Lucas, the biggest male leopard in the region. Being able to have breakfast and lunch by the beach added a wonderful touch to the tour. Definitely recommended if you are traveling to Sri Lanka!

A group of 9 with ages between 8 and 44 arrived in Yala, Sri Lanka, with a certain amount of trepidation about the night to come, camping in the national park at Yala. During the day we saw elephants at close quarters, crocodiles, buffalos, wild boar, deer and peacocks and other exotic birds. As the sun set, we headed to the camp site and were a bit apprehensive about what to expect with regard to the food, the tents themselves and particularly the toilet facilities. We needn't have worried!! As basic as the accommodation was, the tents were bigger than expected, and although small, the campsite was right on the beach and already set with china plates for dinner. There was an enclosed toliet for which the girls were eternally grateful, and although not used an open shower. The food was cooked by Tula and his assistant, Bob Marley and was truly exceptional. We were first treated to a proper cup of English tea, after which the menu consisted of devilled chicken curry, vegetable rice, poppodoms and Dahl. It was truly fantastic and only matched by the sweet of caramelised bananas made by Pat, one of our party. The evening was truly enhanced by the fact it was set under a beautiful star lit night next to the sea, with the company of Ajith and his team, who excelled themselves with the hospitality afforded us as well as their genuine friendliness. It really was an unforgettable night, not only because of the gin provided by Ajith and drunk together in a atmosphere of conviviality. Thank you Ajith for making our Sri Lankan adventure something we will never forget

They lost our booking so we were left waiting for another jeep for 25 minutes in dark Getting bitten by flies and annoyed by touts trying to sell us safaris, we were put by ourselves in old jeep without opening so we couldn't hear driver. He didn't apologised at all just said don't be annoyed with him as it wasn't his fault. We got very little information except, there's a bear etc, another driver got in who I think might have been meant to sit with us and give information but instead he sat in front and talked to other driver. There was a lot of sitting waiting with no information given to make day more interesting. The lunch was lovely. There were no toilets in park which is really bad for tourists out all day. I don't think safaris are for me as I found whole day quite dull but I do think the extra guide should have sat with us and told us about the park, animals etc. He must have been there for that reason. Also nobody every apologised for the long wait in morning and the confusion and being left waiting while four other customers got onto jeep, even though I'd booked two weeks in advance. The driver was nice during lunch and toilet situation isn't their fault, but I don't think they tried very hard to make the day interesting for us.

Friends recommended Ajith Safaris during our tour of Sri Lanka. We were very happy with this choice. Ajith has a modern office on the main road in Debarawewa and speaks very good English. We decided to do a safari in Uda Walawe national park (most tourists go to Yala) because we heard it is famous for elephants. We set off from our hotel at 5am and reached the park entrance at 6.15am. We were able to enjoy the beautiful sunrise with the southern edge of the Sri Lankan Escarpment running across the entire horizon to the north of us. Right from the start we encountered elephants - there are hundreds of them! The jeep took us right into the middle of herds of elephants grazing peacefully next to the road. There were entire families including babies. It was an amazing experience to sit with the jeep engine off in total silence aside from the sound of the elephants uprooting plants with their trunks. It was an incredible safari. Uda Walawe has many beautiful waterholes and we saw many birds including Brahminy Kites and even a nightjar nesting on the road. Ajith's jeep was very clean and comfortable and the driving was excellent. We would certainly recommend Ajith and his drivers to other visitors.

One of the measures of a truly superior business is how they treat their customers in less than ideal circumstances. Upon arriving in Colombo, my wife became ill and was unable to travel requiring two postponements of our safari with Ajith. It ended up that my wife was unable to go and at her insistence, I traveled to Tissa and enjoyed the safari alone. Ajith answered all of my emails quickly and professionally and adjusted his schedule to accommodate mine.

Regarding the safari, it was indeed an experience of a lifetime for me. My guide arrived precisely on time at my hotel; in fact he was there 15 minutes early awaiting my walk from the hotel lobby to the front gate where he was waiting. Everything was provided, from water to juice to a chocolate drink that really hit the spot. We ate breakfast while watching the water buffalo immerse themselves in the small lake nearby. With every animal either spotted or anticipated, my guide stopped, pointed out the animal and without me asking, silenced the engine and himself as not to spoil my video shoot. He always knew exactly when to be quiet and allowed the spectacular beauty of Yala Park to speak for itself.

We took a couple of breaks near the ocean, the second of which was our lunch that we ate together near the jeep between the animals and the beach. The food was great and rest was unexpectedly needed after six hours of traversing the dirt roads through the park. During the afternoon we continued to search for the elusive leopard. Even with the diligent efforts of my guide, we never found him, but I was still extremely pleased with the experience: elephants, water buffalo, sand monitor lizards, tropical birds, monkeys, crocodiles, mongoose, many varieties of deer, and more.

At the end of the day, we returned to the Ajith Tours office where Ajith, my guide, and I all waited for my bus from Tissa to Unawatuna. Most of us have only one opportunity to experience this magnificent park and I highly recommend entrusting Ajith to make it a lasting memory.
