Viña Cobos is the inspired vision of a dreamer who one day undertook the challenge of producing great Argentine red wine that would be on par with the best-known wines of the world. From that moment, Paul Hobbs started to make noble wines of superior quality, placing Malbec and Argentina on stage with the world's greatest wine producers.

Vina Cobos wines are very good to excellent across a wide price range that has five levels. We tasted the Felino Malbec from the lowest level, two from the Bramare Appellation (meaning the general wine growing region -- for example, Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco), and two Malbecs from a single vineyard -- the Zingaretti and Touza. Our... More

We had the Marchiori vineyard tasting, which included their top of the line Cobos. The lady who gave us the explanation was very articulate and knowledgeable and the tasting was going fine, until suddenly another lady who was taking care of other customers in a different table came to ours rushing to take one of the bottles; a few minutes... The visit to Viña Cobos was enlightening and enjoyable, I could easily say that it was the best winery visit out of the half a dozen we did. The setting is elegant and quiet. The groups are small and we end up sharing stories and making friends over this exquisite visit. The responsible for this amazing experience was Victoria, who... More

We just finished one of these bottles with our rib eye steak. The color, the aroma, each drink, each bite, gave us a different taste making us remember our Mendoza trip last Nov 2015. At that time we did the four Malbec tasting. Very informative of the different terriors they grow grapes. It is very easy to compare each one.... More

We visited Vina Cobos in March with my wife, and what a vineyard! Easily the best tasting in Argentina during our stay, and unrivalled in every other way. The lady that led the tasting offered generous pourings of their Volturno Malbec and Cab Sauv blend, and their single vineyard Malbecs, and she was equally knowledgeable and amicable. The food that... More

Senor Bustos organized a special visit for five of us from California. We were able to tour the vineyards and bodega with him and the team of winemakers and vineyard managers. Our experience at Vina Cobos was magical. The new modern and efficient winery, the passion and talent of the staff, and of course the incredible wine. Thank you Pablo... More

This was the best winery we visited in Mendoza. The wine was superb, the grounds were gorgeous, and the staff was very attentive. They have multiple tasting to try. We went with the high end tasting which was pricey but worth it. I was blown away by the quality of the wines they served. this is a must visit winery... More

This is a sleek, modern cellar door experience with a well trained, informative and polished delivery. Obviously, not an inexpensive undertaking and foreign influence from Napa/Sonoma is very clear here, so it most definitely lacks a bit of local soul/character. The tasting and tour is incredibly informative about geography and the winemaking process. Victoria was an excellent guide. Too expensive... More

We went to Vina Cobos as our first stop in Mendoza. We had 5 tastings of different Malbec's from different regions of Mendoza, which allowed us to have a real understanding of the different nuances of the regions many sections. Would definitely recommend. Only con is that it is a little on the pricey side.

We are Cobos wines fans, so it is difficult to give an unbiased opinion of our experience, which, all in all, was good. The winery is small and the grapes come from many different places from Lujan and valle de Uco. Our guide was informative and the Premium Malbec wines we tasted (Bramare line) were all very good. Bought some... More
