Alejandro gave us a great tour in English. He was very knowledgeable and explained us everything about the winemaking process and the bodega, adapting very well to our knowledge level with regard to wine. He really took the time and even gave us some tips for activities in the region. Great experience!

I was in Logroño for 2 nights and visited 4 bodegas. Don Jacobo by far was my favorite! Beautiful village and grounds its kept on. The experience was very personal and thorough. Irene spoke in English and Spanish perfectly and was beyond accommodating. She had an abundance of knowledge about the winery, wine history and tasting. She even booked us a lunch in the town, where we continued to enjoy our experience as a local. In addition, she hired us a taxi with a man who was fairly priced and beyond kind. This was a fantastic experience and this bodega comes highly recommended!

This was an absolutely fantastic tour, visit and tasting! I went with my parents and it ended up being just the three of us on a private tour. They prefer to keep a small amount of people to make it more intimate and friendly. The tour guide (Sara!) was fantastic! She was great at English and was extremely friendly and knowledgable. The tour lasted about an hour and then we did the tasting. We tried three different wines (all delicious) and then some meat and cheese. She even opened a specialty wine for us to try as well. Sara was so so great and helpful. We felt like family! The winery was beautiful and extremely nice. Sara also arranged for us to take a horseback ride through the vineyards with the Centro Hipico Navarrete Company. This lasted about an hour and was fantastic! Overall a great price and great visit! Definitely worth a visit here! Thanks Sara!

A nice "bodega" with a long tradition and a true belief in quality winemaking.
We coudn't stay for the horse ride in the wineyard but we enjoyed a long visit to the bodega, both in the external areas and in its internal rooms. A delicious wine tasting in the end and no time pressure at all (which is quite uncommon for such visits).
A special mention and thanks to Sara, our guide, for her warmth in welcoming us and the competence, kindness and professionalism she showed during the visit.

We were only in Rioja for a few days and were struggling to find Bodegas to visit. Sounds silly, but it appears it's not easy to just drop in, you have to book ahead. We got the number of Bodegas Corral from the Tourist Office in Logrono and phoned them on Friday morning and they gave a private tour for just the two of us that same afternoon. They also arranged for us to horse ride around their hill top vineyard. A whole hour for $25 each, fabulous ride, good horses, friendly guide. Highly recommended.

We were staying local at the caravan site (25mins walk) and were delighted to visit this Bodega.
The tour was most interesting thanks to Sarah and we learned many wine making and tasting tips... the wines and storage, are very impressive, and tastins are delicious :-)
The hospitality shown us was very much appreciated by us, and we would love to return on day...
Enjoy :-)

We had lovely visit in these immaculate 'cellars' which are all above ground! We had an excellent guide with a good command of English, and finished with a flvouesome tasting of nicely priced, affordable wines. We bought 3 'Crianzas' and 3 Rosados at €7.80 and €5.75 respectively

We visited this winery, on “”the Way of Santiago” guided by Sara, a beautiful and knowledgeable lady with ä very good English. We were taken outside to see the old wine installations and the ruins of San Juan de Acre Pilgrims’ Hospital. After that we visited the more recent rooms where the grapes are processed and where wines are kept to “mature” towards the famous Don Jacobo wines!

A really lovely experience with our brilliant guide Sara, who offered to deliver our purchases to our campsite herself.
We had a relaxing private tour and tasting of excellent wines, with a delicious light lunch.
This was an experience to remember - absolutely recommended!

We received a very nice reception of a winery guide who told us a lot of interesting things about Bodegas Corral and their wine Don Jacobo. Then, it was time for a fantastic film which teaches you all you need to know about making wine. We were also invited for a walk around the vineyard where we saw the road for all the pilgrims to Santiago de Compostella.
We also visited the cellar with the wine barells, it was amazing, and after that, it was time for the best part of the tour; the tasting of the fantastic wine.
We were thrilled when we found out that we can find this wine in Sweden. Don Jacobo Gran Reserva is a very good wine.

Hola
Quería saber si existe diferencia entre las visitas "Don JAcobo" o "Altos de Corral" que se citan en la web y las experiencias que se ofrecen en las típicas cajas de regalos de experiencias
un saludo y gracias

I'm planning a trip to Spain and interested in doing winery tours via horseback. Is this something you can help me with? It will be two of us - intermediate riders - and planning on being in Logrono Nov 7 - Nov 10. Awaiting your reply.
thank you
