As you look up the lake from the wharf and into the distance you see absolutely nothing that’s man made. Also their are numerous great walks around the lake. Pristine and beautiful even in winter.

My wife and i walked from our lodge to the lakeside, taking around 20 minutes each way. Its not a hard walk but there is an uphill slope on your return. Stunning place, little playground for the kids and plenty of room to play ball. There is a raft for diving off 15m offshore if its a good day for swimming. The eels at the waters edge just under the wharf were something different. I was standing on the boat ramp when I took these pictures.

Visited the lake at the start of Winter and it was absolutely beautiful. We arrived about 1600 and stayed for an hour, just enough time to watch the sun go down. A nice place to park up and have something to eat. Public toilets are also very clean here

Camped here for a night after hiking Mt Robert. The water was very cold, but there are hot showers which was delightful. There were a few sandflies, but hit was not really bothersome as we had bug repellant. The campground was full even on n off day so be sure to make a booking.
