Exceptional Day in Beautiful Santorini

Amani did an absolutely wonderful job taking us around Santorini in April. We did a private tour. She spectacularly arranged for the Olympic Flame to be passing through Fira that day! Of course, that wasn't planned, but I tell you this because she exhibited great flexibility and local knowledge in getting us into town and just to the perfect spot to watch. After that, she walked us through Oia, of course, with those famous photo shots, expertly working her way around the other tourists. She also took us to her wonderful home village of Pyrgos, and we walked the town's beautiful streets and met a few friends along the way. Amani picked us up at our hotel in Akrotiki right on time, and did a great job navigating the windy streets of Santorini from one end to the other, chatting with us all the way about the fascinating history of this beautiful island, from the devastating natural disasters that have formed and in important ways, "made" Santorini what it is today, to the resourcefulness of the people who have lived there over the millenia. Her passion for and knowledge of this special place were evident in everything she did. Thanks Amani for such a terrific day!

Amazing Experience in Santorini

I had the most amazing experience touring Santorini with Amani as our tour guide .Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of the island, and took us to all the must-see spots as well as hidden gems off the beaten path. The small group size made the tour feel intimate and personalized, and the guide went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone looking to explore Santorini with a knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Caldera Hike

My husband and I hiked the Caldera trail June 14 or June 15 (I forget exact day) with guide Calli! She was wonderful and so informative. Because we were the only ones on the tour, we were able to ask her all sorts of questions about the trail, Santorini, and Greek life in general. She was easygoing and so friendly! I highly recommend this tour and our guide Calli.

Wonderful Experience!!

My mom and I recently had a private all day tour with Golden Ibex, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! We got to see so much in one day, and having a local guide us gave us so much insight and knowledge that we never would have appreciated otherwise. Amani and her husband were so friendly and considerate, it really made us feel like we were exploring the island with local friends rather than a tour guide. We even got to eat lunch with them at their local church!!

I highly recommend traveling there in March or April - the weather was great (not hot) and the crowds hadn’t arrived yet. We also got to see the famous Santorini donkeys, which are used for transporting construction materials for the workers, but aren’t around during the summer months when construction is prohibited. Amani is an absolute pro at conducting a tour - she will make your experience exactly what you want.

Amazing Day Tour

My friends and I flew to Santorini from Athens for a tailor-made day excursion. What fun!! That morning, Amani greeted us at the airport and for the next 5 1/2 hours she gave us an amazing tour of Oia, Fira, and points in between. Taking us to the most picturesque spots on the island (most of which we would have never found on our own), she shared her extensive knowledge of local trends, customs, and history -- making the hours we spent there much more meaningful.

Be forewarned, however, even with Amani's superb guidance, there is no way to get to the best of Santorini without lots of walking and steps, steps, and more steps. Did I say steps? Yes. So put on sensible shoes, wear comfortable clothes, bring your camera, and enjoy the show.

Thanks Amani and Ibex Tours for a day I'll never forget.

Our tour guide Amani, was able to create an itinerary according to our wishes. The itinerary was flexible considering the needs of our group, which was composed of families and friends from different age-groups. And still we were able to see and visit a lot of places. Visit the island in the right way!

We book out tour through her web site.She was very quick to reply.She wait us in front of our hotel and we have a real journey in the island of Santorini.She make us feel as we was leaving many years in the island.She narrate about stories and traditions of the places and of the local people, she bring us to see the most authentic places and location and not only the touristic ones.In the evening to close the day she bring us in a very cozy restaurant in Pyrgos village,Agaze, and there with our dinner we listened live greek music.Thank you Amani we were very happy to meet you.Definitely a tour guide that can make you feel at home!♥️

Book a tour with Amani and Melina as private photographer

Amani was a wonderful guide - she strikes the right balance and was very good a meeting our wishes - she brought us to small passages in Oia and also in remote villages which are less touristic. She knows Santorini inside out and is full of positive energy . We were with our 6 year old daughter and she was perfect to connect with her , even prepared a small book about the history of the caldera and the volcano for our daughter . She speakers French as well so don't hesitate to book her for a private tour . As we were interested to have family photos in the beautiful scenery of Santorini we booked a photographer that came with us on the tour to take shots. Ask for MELINA KATRI . She is the photographer that came with us and did great shots .

An amazing 2 day trip in Santorini!

We did a 6 hour private tour of Santorini with Amani and we had a great time! Amani was very informative and was very flexible. There were 14 in our group with kids, teens and a toddler and she made sure that all of us enjoyed the tour. She picked us up from the airport with a beautiful van and drove us to Oia where we were booked. It was a very memorable and stress free trip for us because Amani took care of us during our trip. She also helped us book for our greek isle tour the following day. Our needs have been met and we all had a wonderful time in Santorini! I highly recommend this tour agency especially Amani!

'Soul of devine purpose'

Amani was our tour guide from Pyrgos. Very passionate and gave us a great overview of Santorini. Very professional. Interactive tour and some quiz on horticultural (tips: red pepper and grapes). We visited Pyrgos and Emborio both lovely villages and learnt so much about their history and culture. The stories behind the architecture of the homes of the slaves, common people and the Captains were interesting. The Orthodox and Catholic churches and their differences. Red beach. Wine tasting was an interesting mix. Swim and lunch at Perissa beach. We then came back to Oia where we love and staying with sunset views. Not only is Amani very knowledgeable, she is very warmth and personable. We would recommend her without any reservations.
