this beach is better than the one we tried in Mexico.

not so crowded, at least some infrastructure, excellent water, waves and beach cleanliness. Suitable with children, not immediately deep sea

We liked this beach even better than Piscinas. Less people, a more dramatic setting with the rock face surrounding it. Services available (chiosco and showers), paid parking. Drive down all paved.

The beach is promoted as the finest in Sardinia, but that's clearly exagerated. Still it is a beautifull beach which can be reach ed by car driving through dunes overgrown with maquis and low level mountains. The drive itself makes it worthwile visiting it. The beach is flanked with rocks and very high dunes. A long stair down brings you to the beach. There are no facilities on the beach so you have to bring your own parasols, windshield and chairs. If you want to stay for a day also beverage and food.

Ten years ago I was there, such a short daily trip, but I promised myself to come back again.
No kids ... no friends ... just a couple ... and a white shore .. and a deep blue sea. What else? It's so seldom to find such a beauty in Sardinia on August 15th far from any noise, from any common sense of "staying at the sea".
If you want to see a couple of octopus in love flying in the water ... that's the piace.
If you want to breath the sunset drinking a glass of Carignano ... that's the place.
If you want to swim in the cristal waters of the west side coast without any risk ... that's the place.
And you will come back again, dreaming a sand as white as flour, and red rocks behind magnificient as famous western Cliffs.
You will feel Nature according with the generous land and the best Sardinian hospitality.
Don't forget to walk through the land tasting the mediterranean best flowers and trees.
That's it ... nothing else except for staying in a great place!

This site, Scivu, is exceptional from many points of view. Its remoteness, almost 13 km from the nearest state road, preserved it from overexploitation and overcrowding. As I did in 1994, if I just walk away from the sector in front of the parking, I still can find a place where the beach umbrella nearest to mine is 50 meters away, and I'm talking about August, the most crowded month of the year.
No doubt that this is seaside relax at its best, the scent of the Mediterranean scrub before descending to the beach down by the fossil dunes. Well, to get to the least crowded part of the beach you have to get a short walk and find the right path in the scrubs, or descend to the seaside directly in front of the parking (where you can find showers, a bar and toilets) and stroll for 5 minutes to your favorite place.

We went in the off-season, so we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful, peaceful. Gentle waves and very fine sand.

Great beach, much power and atmosphere is found here. The beach is very long with find sand. Not many people are arriving here. The best time is in the morning till 11 oclock, then suddenly more people are coming. The rocks surrounding a part of the beach are amazing. The band Placebo did their music video for "Jesus son" here. Down the road to the beach you need to drive a small road around 10-12 km until you reach it. Short time before the beach there is some left old and destroyed houses. Watch out for the goarts here, they are moving from house to house. A step is recommended...

This is a quite sandy beach with good parking and stairs to the water. There is a cantina style place by the sea with few tables and sunbed and umbrellas (for two people cost 13 euros overall)
It was not too busy.
