Upsetting day
Aug 2021
Visited this area today with husband and children ,started well ,lots and lots of bikes on all paths they didn't care what path they were on ,just ridding past you ,very snobby bikers they were on the path and they were the boss ,we were on a path for bikers and walkers ,3 men passed my husband and a women in her bike ,she called my husband swore at my husband in front of my children ,I nearly knocked her of her bike the silly cow ,,that forest is for bikers only not walkers ,walkers are not wanted there ,I will never visit there again for me and my family it was upsetting listening to that abusive women ,she ruined my day ,I hope she has a happy landing some time of her bike.

Great red route
Aug 2021
Only my second red route but what an experience! First few miles climbing up, great views from the top, very different from the terrain local to me (all flat), some good downhill sections and great for a newbie like myself. Parking only £5 to enjoy this wonderful trail.

Trail riding
Jul 2021
A superb day riding the trails, followed by a lovely lunch at the centre. We will definitely be doing this again soon.
If you’ve not been before, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

Llandegla mountain bike
May 2021 • Solo
Today was my first time at a purpose built bike centre, my normal area to ride is Delamere but this place was in a different level.

The parking was great even with the trailer on the car and only cost a fiver for the whole day, thankfully I was able to pay this on my card, there's a little hut with an attendant as you enter the centre, much better than a pay and display machine in my opinion.

I went to the cafe and purchased a large americano coffee which was only around 2.50,have to say I was expecting it to cost more.

I did the green trail and the blue trail as I am still new to mountain biking, I never felt out my comfort zone on these trails and all other riders I met on the trails were lovely, the trails are also so well kept.

I definetly need to return to try out the running and walking trails, well worth a trip to this place.

Great trails, poor Cafe
May 2021
5* for the trails and for a fiver, excellent value, 1* for the cafe, £9 for a burger of the poorest quality (gristle) is not good value for money, a flame grill does not change the quality of rubbish meat. First and last time I eat at the visitor centre. Trails are excellent and well maintained and the improvements over lockdown are most welcome.

Staff were lifesavers 10/10
May 2021 • Friends
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The key to my bike lock snapped, meaning I could not detach my bike lock from the front wheel - rendering my bike immobile. A member of staff from the workshop was a massive help and cut the bike lock off - he saved me an hour trip home to sort it out and prevented me and my friends day from being ruined! Thanks again to the bloke

Poor cafe
Sep 2020 • Friends
Great mountain biking venue, shame so many people avoid paying the small parking charge. Unfortunately the cafe is a shadow of its former self. The food is mediocre and way overpriced. The service is poor and the bins are overflowing. I expect the covid19 excuse will be trotted out but the quality is simply substandard.

Dreadful experience
Aug 2020 • Couples
We were gobsmacked at how poor the food was and how expensive relative to the quality of it.
Shocking

Fab Mountain Bike Park
Aug 2020 • Solo
Ok here is some info to start

DescriptionLlandegla Forest is a forest of planted conifers covering 2.5 sq miles in Denbighshire, north-east Wales. It is situated to the south-east of the village of Llandegla at the north-western edge of Ruabon Moors.

Okay I suddenly have some time off and the family have given me the green light to go mountain biking to ease the stress of lockdown for me and my job. I came up here as the shop was closing I arrived which was fine. It closed at five but the park closes at 9 o’clock in the evening I met two guys who offered to take me round with them.
Clearly in the mountain bike community everybody is helpful and encouraging of others these two guys showed me the ropes and we’ve become friends on Strava. The shop looks amazing food looks fantastic the staff look great the trail is incredible and challenging I absolutely loved it they did not have too much time to enjoy it as I was trying to keep up with these two of the legends ahead of me. Come here you won’t regret it. I was on an E bike so could handle The huge ups and downs. If you are not fit you will struggle with the red and the black heed my warning even the blue will be challenging with the up and down of this place. But if you’re fit or have an eBike this place is amazing.

The parking is fine looking for it was a bit tricky not for the satnav but they could have even better signs explaining the entrance I drove past it the first time that would be my only negative feedback other than that great first day I plan to do another morning here then drive to Snowdon tonight.

Awesome woodland walk.
Aug 2020
The setup at the forest is great for walkers, trail runners and mountain bikers alike. Multiple trails offering varying distances, we took the dog and had a great hour or so walking. Toilets and Cafe onsite too.
