While driving to Mallaig we passed the white sand beaches of Morar and visited on way back. Some people were having a BBQ while others were using canoes to row along the water while others just sunbathed. There are two large rope swings half way down the Beach

Although the sun wasn't shining the silver sands are beautiful. The sand is fine and clean and the walk along the beach is lovely. All the way from Morar to Arisaig are lovely beaches of white sand and clear (cold) water. Plenty of spots to sit and look at the great views to Eigg and Skye.

We found this hike on a Scottish hiking website which provided very clear directions. We never would have found our way without them. Walked on the old town road north and then just before getting to the highway we walked down a path to the left to an underpass. Then we went through a gate and walked between two Holmes... More

Even on a dull rainy Scottish summers day, this is a truly breath taking place. White sands, clear waters. What more could you want from a beach?

This is a nice walk that doesn't take long and isn't very difficult at all. Nice views. Feel asleep on the sandy beach at the end for an hour then walked back.

Had heard about the sands and longed to stroll by a loch after touring around being blown away by beautiful views from the car. The sands are worth searching for and just a short walk down from the road. Absolutely magical place with the finest silver beige sand and the clearest water perfect to paddle in. This is the deepest... More

Shut your eyes for a moment, listen to the peaceful surroundings and feel the warmth of the sand between your toes! Well, that was my experience and we certainly lucked out in discovering this place on our route up to The Isle of Skye. It truly is (on a hot day) like being in the Bahamas or Dominican Republic. Stunningly... More
