What a wonderful centre for promoting the Grand Union Canal and all the activities associated with it. It was manned by a wonderfully enthusiastic volunteer when I visited while walking along the canal. He shared so much of his considerable knowledge so willingly. There are books and gifts on sale, all connected with the canal. You can also book short canal trips. So great to find places like this, dedicated to preserving our heritage.

Wonderful two hour trip on Rickmansworth waterways to celebrate a birthday. Two crew crew members who oversaw the charter, were happy to involve our children (6&9) in the opening and closing of locks, and to answer any questions. We took birthday cake on board and there was provision for tea and coffee. Young and old had a great time.

This is positioned in an idyllic little spot on the canal, with a small booking office and shop where you can book boat rides and use the toilet (donations for the use of). Enjoyed our pic-nic here and watched Canadian geese playing on a small waterfall. You can enjoy a walk along the canal here with barges moored. Initially reached from the town by steps or alternatively by the bridge from the other side. Parking free nearby (close to St. Marys church) but limited. Lovely way to spend half a day.

This is a small centre by the Blatchworth lock on the Grand Union Canal. An interesting centre on the history of the canal. A nice little shop selling a range of canal related products.
