Our little boy really enjoyed the gardens with the animals. There was some animals & birds that we hadn't seen before like the bush dogs so that was nice. It is small but it does offer an hour or so of entertainment

Tip1: Take up the option to purchase entry to the zoo gardens and the outdoor activities aswell. This includes supervised archery, zip wire and a climbing wall.(worth the extra payment). Tip 2: Take your own food. The hot dogs that you can buy on site are average and overpriced. The zoo is small, but interesting and the outdoor activities offered... More

The staff were informative and helpful and the whole siteis dotted with picnic locations, we had ourpicnic in the walled gardens. Once you have paid entry... More

They loved getting up close to a feeding tarantula , they were delighted at the peacocks wandering around freely. They chatted to the meerkats. They had a great time. They loved the cafe and raved about the paninis.

Whilst on holiday in the North East we had planned to visit a few zoos with our 2 year old. When we arrived here we firstly had something to eat in the Cafe which was lovely. If you have a pram like us and the room off the court yard is busy head down to the disabled access door and... More

I bought a money saving voucher off a website and visited with my hubby and 4 year old son. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the map easy to read and there is plenty to see and do. A large range of animals - including reptiles and birds to see and boards explaining about each - their usual habitat,... More

This was an okay way to spend an hour or so but could have been so much better. Some of the animals are so far away that you can barely see them (we could see the pygmy goats enclosure through the Alpaca enclosure but couldn't see them directly). Barriers keep you a good metre (or more) away from the fences... More

We bought a discounted family ticket and managed to pick a sunny day to visit. The queue wasn't long and as soon as we were in we were greeted by ponies and alpacas. We saw bushdogs, sheep, peacocks, a heron, tropical fish, snakes, spiders, frogs, an armadillo and various other birds and animals. I was a little underwhelmed to be... More

I went here with my 1 year old and friend with her boys aged 9 and 7. All had a great time... Indoor and outdoor parts! The kids fed the wallabies which they loved! Nice to see the peacocks roaming freely around the place! Lots of interesting things to see - bush dogs to snakes to sheep to monkeys! This... More
