Whilst on holiday in the North East we had planned to visit a few zoos with our 2 year old. When we arrived here we firstly had something to eat in the Cafe which was lovely. If you have a pram like us and the room off the court yard is busy head down to the disabled access door and... More

I bought a money saving voucher off a website and visited with my hubby and 4 year old son. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the map easy to read and there is plenty to see and do. A large range of animals - including reptiles and birds to see and boards explaining about each - their usual habitat,... More

This was an okay way to spend an hour or so but could have been so much better. Some of the animals are so far away that you can barely see them (we could see the pygmy goats enclosure through the Alpaca enclosure but couldn't see them directly). Barriers keep you a good metre (or more) away from the fences... More

We bought a discounted family ticket and managed to pick a sunny day to visit. The queue wasn't long and as soon as we were in we were greeted by ponies and alpacas. We saw bushdogs, sheep, peacocks, a heron, tropical fish, snakes, spiders, frogs, an armadillo and various other birds and animals. I was a little underwhelmed to be... More

I went here with my 1 year old and friend with her boys aged 9 and 7. All had a great time... Indoor and outdoor parts! The kids fed the wallabies which they loved! Nice to see the peacocks roaming freely around the place! Lots of interesting things to see - bush dogs to snakes to sheep to monkeys! This... More

Lovely little zoo, they have a reptile and insect area, aquarium, small primates, meerkats and other mammals and avaries. The enclosures are clean and the animals look very well cared for. Friendly staff, pushchair accessible, there is a cafe which is not inside the zoo, it's just across the car park. There are gardens and woodlands to walk through as... More

After I research this zoo and found out that it is biaza approved I was looking forward to visiting! As we arrived, I noticed that there is no safe path to walk on through the car park to the main gate which I feel is a safety hazard. When arriving at the paying desk the girl who served me spoke... Thank you for taking the time to review your visit. We are looking at the route from the car park into the Zoo as part of our development process. Your feedback regarding the speed at which our staff member spoke is most helpful, and has been shared with the team as part of our on-going training. I'm glad to hear... More

We took our 7 yr old to Kirkley hall zoo and although it is small, there are lots of animals to see. The enclosures are good sizes for the animals and they look clean. Also they had a couple of animals that we have not seen before at other zoo's, Bush dogs and Racoon dogs. Which are both so cute!... More

Good and reasonably priced afternoon for young and old. No large animals but plenty of small ones with very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
