Definitely the warmest welcome we have had in the Dales, ordered the farmhouse fruit cake and slice of Wensleydale cheese as it’s a local delicacy thinking I won’t like it....I am converted, it was Delicious! Mum had the Victoria sponge and enjoyed it so much...More

Three pound entry to the museum. They have their own car park, but you could easily miss it as there is so much signage around! There is an eclectic mix of locally produced arts and crafts to purchase.

We have visited 3 times this year and have enjoyed their hospitality - a wonderful cafe with attention to detail. The museum is an absolute treasure trove and deserves to be visited more than once. Do try the Howgill’s Ice Cream if you can -...More

Great cafe - scones with cream and jam are excellent, as is the coffee. Superb museum crammed with artefacts and historical items. A must visit place when in the area. Plenty of car parking in adjacent fields, and well appointed toilet block close by -...More

What an interesting place to find in a beautiful village. Dropped in a few times durring our week in Dent and saw something different each time. The model railway downstairs particularly attracted me. Tea was good too.

We were impressed with the wealth of information about the village and the area. Very atmospheric. The scones are lovely.

An interesting small museum which gives a good insight into life in the past, in Dent and the surrounding area. The scones we had with a cup of tea, tasted stale and were disappointing.
