Packed with local history, social, geological, railways, this is well a visit. This is in a tiny and charming but little rural town so not open all the year round. Museum helpers knowledgeable and helpful

This small award winning museum is a wonderful way to spend a wet afternoon in Montgomery. The collect contains lots of information about all of Montgomery's castles/forts and exhibitions about such varied topics as a railway crash, the local workhouse and 19th century medical care. The entry fee is only £1 too. Highly recommended.

Amazing little museum, lovingly researched and put together, with a great collection of artefacts and some very informative labels. Neatly divided into various sections, it's a great way to while away an hour or two and fantastic value for only £1 entry!

Local museum, small but beautifully formed. Fascinating look at local life in Montgomery. - Strongly recommended. Note - a lot of narrow winding stairs.
