Absolutely beautiful- managed to catch the start of a sunset on a perfect still water, making a stunning reflection on the Loch

what a hidden gem-- a breathtaking valley with a loch that Queen Victoria loved to sketch full of fish and with hillsides the playground of herds of deer-- great picnic or dog walking country and watch for the passing Eagle or Osprey

Enjoyed and visit to Loch Brora over the weekend. The loch is perfect for canoeing or kayaking. Remember not to park in passing places when accessing the loch.

Loch & Strath Brora are simply magical so why not pull off the A9 for a wee stop and experience just how amazing East Sutherland is!

Had a wild camping experience this winter, followed by a nice and easy hike next day. Beautiful place, lovely to who seeks peace and quite.

My wife suggested we took a detour to visit this loch and despite having seen a lot of lakes on our three week tour of the highlands this was amongst my favourite. It is very tranquil and unspoilt with plenty of small loch side woods...More
