This place is mostly excellent. I was warned about the religious and jingoistic side to the spectacles/displays so I came prepared. The important thing is to not take the park as a history lesson - there are religious stories of visions, twisted versions of official historic events and so on. BUT - the whole thing is magical, expertly done with pretty much everything brilliantly designed and sorted. We stayed in the Clovis cottages, which were excellent; compact but efficient and cute. The food was at best, average, but we didn't manage to try any of the 'banquet' style dinners for example. Perhaps they would be better - in general, the food we ate was forgettable. A particular personal note for me, was that the beer mainly served was Heineken; as far as possible from a mediaeval ale. All in all - excellent, but go prepared for the 'angle' on history!

Visited recently, had already visited several times in the past. It's still amazing despite the measures put in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It truly offers an out of this world experience, definitely the best theme park in the world !!

Working myself in a theme park I can tell Puy du Fou excels it everything. The Theming, level off story telling, landscaping, shows, food, shops and good staff. I also understand when you make a good show experience sound and music is important. But good sound is one thing... extremely hard sound is the other... it’s both dangerous and unnecessary... this would be a five star review... but the sound for example with “le secret du la lance” near the operator booth was both extreme loud and poor sound design. This back delay should be mush higher. And I would expect from these professionals the should know how to fix! PdF please don’t overlook this detail...

After the pandemic caused everybody's plans immense disruption, I rang today to rebook our postponed 2020 tickets. My French is not good and the call handler who spoke very limited English, promised to get a colleague to call me back within 15 minutes. Well......no sooner had I put the phone down (literally) than the wonderfully helpful Alyssia rang me. She cpould not have been more helpful and Alyssia (PLEASE TAKE NOTE PdF!) is an absolute credit to the organisation. We have several visits booked, and can't wait to return! I cannot recommend this experience and it's staff (especially Alyssia) highly enough!

Phone line goes dead, been trying for the last 2 weeks, no emails answered either. Feel maybe should be getting slightly better service after paying £800 for overnight stay and tickets to the park.
