Visited this pub for the 1st time today, the food was great , try the pizzas they are all fresh and hand made and so tasty , the chips were lovely to , there was 7 of us and with 2 rounds of drinks , 2 pizzas and 7 main meals came to under £120 , off the beaten track but well worth the journey.

Have known this Place since I was 16ish walked from Leysdown to The Wheatsheaf as an adventure with parents, back then it was lemonade and a packet of crisps. As years passed have been back many a time and tried various meals and Beverages but the absolute best is their Ploughmans and a Pint sitting outside in the sun. Now 63 and waiting for July 4th for pubs to re-open and having a ride for the Poughman and an orange juice . . . out front

Fantastic friendly little pub with good food. Always happy to cater for me even if they haven't got a vegetarian meal advertised. Lovely garden for a drink in the sun. Highly recommend their aftertoon tea. Fantastic value for money!

Our starters came at different times, we were told they had run out of gas so it took over an hour just to get our starters. The dinners came out in dribs and drabs and the steaks were tough. We were then informed that there was no ham because the dog had eaten it. The beer was warm, there was no draft coke so pints of coke were expensive. In the end a couple of us didn’t even eat. The barmaid was argumentative and rude which topped by far the worse dining experience we’ve ever had.
