We wanted somewhere quite close to Caistor Lincolnshire to take my Mum out for her lunch and somewhere that was nice and quiet so decided to try The Hope Tavern next to the railway crossing on the A46 at Holton le Moor. We were highly delighted with the place its a most welcoming building and the staff were all very nice too. We had a delicious Lunch which was the Carvery, meat was cooked to perfection as were the Yorkshire puddings in fact it was all superb, we also had desserts after resting for a while they were also absolutely delicious, we will certainly be going back. the nice thing was too there was no loud music blaring out, there was some but very very much in the background which as far as we were concerned was perfect.

Whilst on a business trip we popped in for lunch. On entering the premises, we were hit by a damp, musty smell. We ordered soft drinks as it was a working lunch, and when I requested ice, I was told there wasn't any! No ice in a bar? Surely not?! We had a quick look at the menu, but decided not to order, as we weren't inspired. We left after having our drinks. Not a place I would return to, completely underwhelmed by the welcome, service, decor and lack of basics. I suggest the word 'No' in front of the name!
