We stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and had a great experience.

The cafe was really comfortable and homely, but clean. Really nice atmosphere. I always judge a breakfast by the quality of the sausage and these were delicious!

The staff were extra accommodating of my 3 year old, and immediately made us feel welcome by providing colouring paper and crayons and just by talking to her directly and being really friendly. My baby daughter needed an emergency nappy change and the staff offered to keep my partners food warm for him - which was really appreciated.

The apple juice was also totally delicious and I’d recommend buying some even if you can’t stop for food.

After breakfast we really enjoyed feeding the animals and would have liked to have longer to play on the swings and play things.

Toilets were spotless.

All in all I’d highly recommend a stop here. Reasonable prices for good quality food and lots of extras for children to enjoy especially. We’ll be back!

Ah, that is so nice to hear the efforts of the team do not go unnoticed. We do source our meat from our local butcher and are particularly happy with the sausages, I completely agree, it is what makes the breakfast. We hope to see you again soon . Thank you again

Myself and a group of friends had booked a weekend-stay in the Somerset countryside to celebrate a friends wedding (some would call it a stag do). On Saturday, we decided to take a walk to the cider farm after seeing on the website it was open till 8 and having passed the sign on the drive through washford. Initially we thought the cider farm was 1.5 miles away, but with the winding and twisting country lanes, the walk became more like 4. After walking up and down the exmoor hills, we were close too abandoning our walk, but we made the group decision to plough on.
What a great decision that was! The farm did great cider at a great price. We also managed to get food for a party of 6 hungry blokes, all served quickly and at a great price (I recommend the pulled pork ciabatta). Lovely location and really friendly staff. 6 mile walk all round, but 100% worth it - cheers for contributing to a great weekend

This was a lovely visit. A play park for our little ones, some animals for them to look at - pigs, chickens, sheep and a lovely little orchard walk with fairies! Once we were done with these activities we went into the cafe. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. There was quite a wait for food, but whilst we were visiting there was a huge downpour and everyone sheltered in the cafe and ordered food. The food was beautiful - freshly prepared and not heated in a microwave. No issues waiting for food when it’s prepared and cooked fresh, and as I said think the kitchen became overwhelmed with the deluge of customers all at once - and it was more than just a few.
We had such a good time we returned a couple of days later for lunch and the kids to use the park again.
Let’s not forget the activities we’re all free and the food wasn’t badly priced at all. There was also a little shop where you could by trinkets and the cider produced on site.
A brilliant few hours out.

After reading some great reviews my wife and I came to visit this morning, we were not disappointed . The farmhouse kitchen was amazing . The staff were welcoming and very attentive . After ordering our tea quickly followed . My wife who is lactose intolerant asked of an alternative milk which the waitress was more than happy to swap for her .Our breakfasts arrived very quickly and the quality was brilliant . Two clean plates were quickly removed . Nothing seemed too much trouble . After breakfast we visited the shop which was well stocked with all manner of local produce . We fed the animals and walked around the orchard . All in all a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours . We will most definitely visit again when we’re in the area .

My family visited here after seeing other reviews on TA and thought we would pay a visit. We travelled from Burnham On Sea (on holiday from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) with our 6yo daughter. It was just under an hours travel time.

We visited the cafe first and couldnt connect to the wifi as instructed but we were served by a friendly member of staff who apologised for not informing us of the lack of wifi.

Having sampled some cider in the shop, hubby ordered a pint of cider and I got tea & a scone. Juice for the wee one. Reasonably priced at £7.40 for the lot. Prices for the other items looked reasonable too, if it was expensive, I'd say.

Service was fab and all tasted amazing.

We then bought some feed for the animals for 75p a bag. We enjoyed visiting and feeding the sheep, ducks, chickens, pigs also a goat hiding in his hut.

We took a walk up to the orchard and also a play at the park.

A hidden gem thats defo worth a visit if in the area.

We also bought some local produce from the shop which we cant wait to take home & enjoy 🍏

Thank you so much for a lovely review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your visit! Sorry the wifi is very up and down here, a lovely idea to allow customers to order online but not so easy with rural wifi, glad that didn't effect your order or wait time Hope to see you again

Three of us stopped for lunch here. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait as they were very busy We had no problem with this.

Staff did not seem to know the numbering system for tables as we had 2 lots of food mis-delivered to our table and had to send it away. We had drinks delivered, but no cutlery or condiments apart from a bottle of tomato ketchup left on the table which the wasps were enjoying. When our food arrived we were not given cutlery, napkins or any condiments. We waited for these but they did not appear. One of our party had to go in search of these items after we had waited for some time. By the time she located these the food was nearly cold. This seems to be a staff training problem and is not the first time I have had to complain about this here. Surely food could be brought out on a tray with cutlery, etc? I have yet to find a successful way of eating salad and coleslaw with fingers even if I wanted to.

Hi, I am so sorry you did not enjoy your visit. I a the owner and even now get the table numbers wrong, it is very easily done. especially when guests move the tables and swap tables it does get very confusing for the team who are always trying to remember million requests at once. I am surprised about condiments as these are in holders which are placed on every table every morning, so I will ensure the team are placing them out on every table, as this should have been the case anyway Cutlery should be brought to you with your drink,s prior to the food, and if forgotten I am very sorry, again it is easily forgotten even today I took food and forgot the cutlery but the waiting staff should be aware that there is none on the table and address this at the time, and I am sorry this has been forgotten. I know my team work very hard and try not to forget these tings but we will remind them

Went for a snack lunch - 2 lattes, 1 cappuccino, 1 fries, 1 coffee cake and 2 cheese scones. Waited about 30 mins before order taken. Chips came after another 30 mins. Another 30 mins later drinks and a chocolate cake arrived. Never got any scones after about two hours. Apologies from waitress. Not her fault. We were told cheese scones were not cooking properly so offered plain scones in 2 mins but they never arrived. Altogether appallingly organised. Wrong cake and no scones. Chips were ok but order should have come together not in 30 minute intervals or even not at all.

Hello, I am Terribly sorry you experienced such bad waiting times and disorganisation. That is not how we normally do business i can assure you. This week is the busiest week we've ever had combined with the fact that the hospitality industry is suffering from a lack of available staff which we are really suffering from. We just cannot cope with the huge increase in tourist without more staff and training the new ones we do have. We have decided to take the following steps - To reduce the number of tables we have, 45 is too many to cope with in busy times and so we plan to remove some to ensure better service. We have also decided that as of next week we will have to close one day a week to allow our chefs and front of house to get some time off and it will allow us to do some training with any new staff. We will also have to think about reducing the menu in order to cope and to maintain a high level of customer service. Again we are so sorry , i know our staff are doing their best and we will continue to try to recruit but also keep looking at other ways to make sure customer service and reasonable wait times remain in place. We will endeavour to improve.

Whether you like cider or not this is the place to visit when in the area. Firstly the staff are brilliant. I was given tasters of their ciders to decide, I went for Fuzzy Duck as I wanted a refreshing drink and hubby had their apple juice made on site as he was driving.
In the week we were on holiday we went to this cider farm four times and enjoyed the same level of great attention. We ate each time sitting on the covered area out of the sun, absolutely brilliant. No rush to leave, welcome to just sit, chat and enjoy.
Bought cider from their shop for presents and animal food in 50p bags to feed the farm’s animals, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks and one very old goat that has mobility problems but loves to be feed.
Thank you for your care and attention.

myself and my wife went here for breakfast as we do every year as usually its very good, this time was awful.

ordered the large breakfast one without black pudding and the other without black pudding and tomatoes, they offered extra toast instead which was fine.

breakfast arrived absolutely freezing cold, we had a teaspoon of cold beans between us, uncooked snotty egg, rock hard cold tomato, 2 slices of fatty cheap bacon and a edible sausage certainly not from a butcher, didn't get our extra slices of toast either.

young teenage girls in the kitchen talking about ex boyfriends and how there weekends were, we don't want to hear this, terrible service, young girls wearing face coverings but touching their faces and then their mask so almost pointless.

awful experience and we will NOT be returning.

Hello, I am very sorry you had a bad breakfast, but I really wish as a regular customer you would have just come and spoken to us as we could have fixed a lot of the issues for you there and then. I have spoken to the team about making sure food is piping hot when served and to ensure they read the tickets properly. We always endeavour to serve all the food to a high standard. With regards to the standard of the meat, we get ALL of our meat from the local butcher who delivers daily, and I think the standard of their meat is superb! we have never had anything but compliments about their meat, but if it was not to your taste, that is fair enough. Yes we do employ teenagers, who are allowed to have a chat while they work. I have reminded them that everyone can hear what they are talking about especially since the kitchen is now more open than it used to be. Even though they are teenagers they are generally a very hard working team and I have never had any issues with their work rate. With regards to masks, they can be uncomfortable to wear and I find myself fiddling with my as I am sure most people do, but the idea of the mask is actually to protect you if they cough, sneeze, breathe etc, so it would still do this regardless if they have touched their face. All the staff have their own hand sanitiser on them which they use very often and are also told to wash their hands every 20 minutes, but most are constantly washing up as well, so there are no issues with hygiene as far as I am concerned. We are very sorry to loose your custom, I really wish you just came and spoke to us at the time but we do appreciate your feedback as we are always looking to improve our standards and service.

We expected to be able to taste various ciders but not so. The cafe offered a few choices, despite ordering on line as requested our drinks took 45 mins to arrive and it was necessary to chase them. There is an unimpressive shop, various pens of chickens etc and the orchard to look round
Probably give this one a miss

Hello, I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit. We do have 3 scrumpy's which you can taste in the shop, not a problem. I will check with the shop staff why these were not offered to you. The cafe has a locally sourced, home made menu which we feel is perfect for lunchtime choices offering a range of ciabattas, pizza, pie, soup, fish and chips, gammon etc. we are trying our best to keep up with waiting times, it is very difficult at the moment in such uncertain times as we are not busy enough to warrant lots of staff but if we have lots of customers at once the same waitress has to make drinks, take orders etc, so it can be difficult. Although I do appreciate drinks should not take 45 minutes, so I will find out why this was the case and I can only apologise for the wait, this is not normal practise. The shop stocks local craft, food and cider of course, but at times, can look a little low if waiting for deliveries as we are experiencing longer waiting times, plus we are unsure if we are heading into a lockdown again which would mean another loss of stock so the shop is not running at a completely full capacity, although we are keeping up to date with our best sellers and original products. I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit and I will look into the points raised
