There are thousands of waterfalls in Norway, and this one is very unique. I called "Jade Waterfall' because the water is beautifully green. An easy drive from Valldal, it is not a quiet place in May. There is a restaurant beside it and I guess it will open for high seasons.

Great stop to see the raging river. We took the time to walk around a bit and found some nice spots along the river. Had an ice cream in the cafe just by the waterfall. The parking places here are pretty narrow

This is absolutely a facinating site to behold. Stop for a short visit either before/after your visit to Trollstigen! It’s free and wheel-chair friendly. Seems like there is plenty of parking as people come and go all the time. If you are interested in geology/geography, this will be of special interest to you. Very beautiful and breathtaking. There is a snack bar and public toilets. Well worth a visit.

Amazing location. Free WC. Loved the modern rustic design of the walk ways (although be careful of slipping). Parking lot is small. Lots of trails to take. Canteen closed due to Covid.

This grand wonder of nature is worth stopping for on your way over the mountains to or from Trollstigen to Valldal- Geiranger- Ålesund and so on. Walk the path, have a cinnamonbun, have pitstop on your way. Close by you will also find other exciting places to visit such as Juvet Landscape hotel and the historic Nikkahuset.

On one of Norway's scenic routes, this lovely stop is an exquisite piece of architecture, the cafe has simple but lovely Norwegian food, with unbelievable views in every direction. Grab a snack, go for a hike, and enjoy!

We saw people hiking into the woods and along the streams.
Our stop here was only 40 minutes for this attraction. Unusual set of restrooms are situated near the café. The stairs and walkways wind past and over the gorge and streams. The views are different from each angle so be sure to keep walking.

We went for a walk and took some photos. There were washrooms and interesting metal work with camping nearby.

This was one of my favorite stops in Norway, I was absolutely amazed by the endless beauty of this area. From the lovely view of the mountains and farmhouse, the river and the first waterfall and then repeating waterfalls and incredibly deep gorges it was definitely a must see! The walkways that have been built so you can get the best views of the area are very nice.
