The hole place has been vandalized beyond recognition by a large scale tourist machine that resembles an unlikely combination of a Disney attraction waiting area and a junk yard. A cafe that most of all resembles a Birmingham suburb from the 70s, only adds to the disaster.

It’s worth a quick stop between Valldal and Trostigen. The waterfalls were beautiful so were the surrounding area. There was a visitor centre with a cafe but unfortunately it was closed possibly due to the low number of visitors during Covid-19 pandemic.

Amazing location. Free WC. Loved the modern rustic design of the walk ways (although be careful of slipping). Parking lot is small. Lots of trails to take. Canteen closed due to Covid.

Very cool attraction, built in the same style as the Trollstigen visitors centre. The iron walk bridges are designed in a way that gives you the impression of walking between tree-tops in the jungle. There is also a café/visitors centre, but it was closed probably due to Covid-19 and seemed rather unattended because unfortunately the waste bins were flooding with waste. Luckily we came to the visitors centre at the end of the walk (we started at the parking lot on the top), otherwise we might have got a different impression of the site and by far a less positive experience.

This is a must see river before going up to Trollstige. It will only take some minutes to see the area so this is a good stop for travelevers. There’s a cafe but it was close during our visit, most probably due to COVID
