Attractive bridge, 80 years old but still with highest arch in Europe! It was sabiotaged during the ww2 and appers in a few movies. Best views of the bridghe are from affar- god point is at one of ziplines and camping. Do walk on th bridge as view of the river is spectacular.

The beauty of this bridge is actually revealed from afar. You can't see it when you're on the bridge, and you can't understand its specialness either. At the same time, you can enjoy beautiful views of the valley from the bridge. There are places where you can park your car at both ends of the bridge. There are many different zip line providers on both sides of the bridge. The drive to the bridge is also beautiful and the natural diversity there is different from the rest of Montenegro.

When the bridge was completed it was among the biggest bridges in Europe. During the Second World War it played an important role when the partisans stopped the advance of the Germans by blowing up the bridge. The bridge makes it easy to cross the Tara River and the canyon of the same name. The canyon has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is part of the Durmitor National Park, one of the most beautiful places in all of Montenegro.

I visited on tour. I couldn't try it because I spent so little time there, but there were many people doing ZIPLINE. There were also people canoeing below. The landscape is very good. However, trucks and other vehicles run on the bridge. The sidewalk has room for only one person on each side. The photo shoot was quite difficult because other tourists were waiting for us and we couldn't stop slowly.

Worth to stop and have some rest on the way to Durmitor. Fun watching the people screaming on the ziplines.
The bridge is awsome, the water is perfectly clear. The mountains nearby are beautiful. When we were there a storm came so could not stay long.

Incredible views from the bridge - looking up the canyon towards the picturesque Montenegron mountains. Inexplicably, the pavement either side of the river is incredibly narrow, with busy traffic coming both ways! It's bizarre why they don't make it safer - crossing the gorge my zipline is much safer!

Very nice and impressive.
Possibility to use zipline and extreme zipline, good experience.

There is a restaurant nearby and several smaller souvenir kiosks.
Spectacular view of the mist rising above the river in the morning

The view was incredible and it was fun watching the zip liners zooming past. I have a fear of heights so it was challenging to keep myself up on that bridge with the cars and trucks passing so closely. A lot of people are on the bridge. Next to it are starting points for zip line and river rafting. Also, a restaurant, people selling souvenirs and ice cream. Lots of tour buses. I am glad I did it.

The Tara Bridge is an incredible beautiful bridge in the Durmitor national park. It is great to walk the bridge on both sides. It looks that every 5 meters a different view shows over the river and the mountains. It is absolutely worth going and maybe even try a zipline. This is an absolute fantastic sight worth visiting. Look at the bridge from a distance and walk over it.

As the roadway on this bridge stands 172 metres (564 ft) above the Tara River, there are really miraculous views on the Tara River Canyon in all seasons but it seems even more special and more fabulous in autumn (October) when some really amazing autumn colours adorn this wild landscape. You can try a zip line adventure from one side of the canyon to another if you are an adrenaline seeker.
